    Psalm 34: Responding to Adversity

    Psalm 34: Responding to Adversity

When we find ourselves in times of adversity, Psalm 34 maps out the three things we can do to face it like David did in times of trouble. We acknowledge that God is in control through praise instead of worry, we obey what God asks of us because we trust Him, and finally, we rest in the grace that God offers us.

Psalm 51: Do you really want to get better or just feel better?

Psalm 51: Do you really want to get better or just feel better?

Often, we seek to numb our pain, desperate to feel better. But God doesn’t want us to just feel better; He wants to transform us. We were not created for a life of sin. When we’re in Christ, sin can’t separate us from God but it still has the power to destroy.  In the Bible, King Saul and King David both sinned against God, but their responses to their sin were very different. One of them sought temporary relief and distraction from his mistakes and the other cried out to God in humble repentance. So, do you want to feel better, or do you want to truly get better? Let’s dive deep into Psalm 51 with Seth Swindall!

Psalm 23: Understanding God as Father

Psalm 23: Understanding God as Father

Psalm 23 reveals the character of God. You can’t understand who you are until you understand whose you are.Though it doesn’t mention the word father, it paints a picture of who God our Father is and what fatherhood looks like for us.

Psalm 7: Dealing with Relational Conflict

Psalm 7: Dealing with Relational Conflict

How do we respond when we are unjustly critiqued or unfairly criticized? Relationships can be hard to navigate. In Psalm 7, David shows us that we can bring our  unfiltered feelings to God and ultimately trust that justice is in His hands.

    Psalm 1: Faith Over Fruit

    Psalm 1: Faith Over Fruit

This is the first week of our series Summer in the Psalms. Psalm 1 is a fantastic Psalm with tons of practical wisdom. This weekend, we specifically looked at the Psalm in light of making decisions and learning to delight in God. God’s no often precedes His yes, and fruit comes seasonally. We live in a world obsessed with success. But we are not called to success; we are called to long and faithful obedience. We give everything we can within the limits of how God created us and trust Him with the results. When we are faithful, God will see to it that we are fruitful.

Egypt Is Not Your Home (It’s Time to Move!)

Egypt Is Not Your Home (It’s Time to Move!)

Egypt represents our painful past. Big or small things, are so hurtful that even though we survive them, we still occasionally feel the pain of them like an old injury. What is your Egypt? It is impossible to MOVE out of your painful past, your Egypt, without other people. God has created us to really need Jesus but also to really need one another.

Met the Real Jesus

I have been a long-time member of Church on The Move. Always love the sermons. I especially love hearing Whit!! In Fall of 2018, my Small Group decided to do the Real Jesus curriculum. At the conclusion, I met the real Jesus! And I’m still on fire over a year later!! I can only describe this as a true Spiritual awakening. No longer is He just a historical figure that saved me. He became real and personal. I shared this with Whit and he also met the real Jesus and can relate. I’m now serving every Sunday, attend First Wednesday, 21 days of Prayer, etc. What a difference He has made in me!! When at Church, it feels like I’m at a family reunion, which actually is true because we are all Gods family for ever and ever!! I love my church family!!! -Mike

Review

I absolutely love church on the move. There has not been one sermon or teaching that I haven’t gotten some sort of revelation from. I The Pastors style of teaching is very relatable. God is definitely speaking through this man. I hope to one day come visit this church. I live in AZ and would love to take a trip out to actually sit in on a service. No other Pastor has really drawn my attention to where the teaching translates immediately in mind mind other than my Pastor until I found church on the move!!!

Love love love Church on the Move

My first experience with Church on the Move was Seeds Conference 2017. Now I can hardly wait for the podcasts to be posted. I love the hard hitting truth that I hear from Pastor Willie and Whit!
