S4EP152 - She's Allergic to Cats
We review the experimental, semi-autobiographical indie film, She's Allergic to Cats. The film is written and directed by Michael Reich.
Synopsis: Michael Pinkney is a dog groomer living in a rat-infested Hollywood dive with dreams of a bigger creative life. His current ambition is to raise funding for an all-cat remake of Carrie. At home he makes what he refers to as "weird video art that nobody wants to watch". One day on the job, he meets Cora the girl of his dreams. "When you're cutting their nails, is it supposed to bleed that much?", she asks, as he stares at her lovingly. Easily distracted, creatively in knots and now in some sort of love, Michael's about to embark on a whole new dangerous trip.

We check out the indie-found-footage-horror, M.O.M. Mothers of Monsters. The film takes us in and out of the perspective of a distraught mother and her teenage son both of whom are dealing with mental issues and damaged family ties. The film will be released to VOD and digital outlets soon.

Pretty Neat
It is good content wise and I am sure the cat cenobite is a good hook for some listeners. It is a pretty relaxed tone and is ideal when you want to listen in casually on your daily commute or lunch break.
There are some audio issues which are hard to ignored (I think I heard a dog barking at one point) but otherwise it is fine. I would recommend to anyone who is always in need to get a horror fix.
Absurd in a good way
Heavy on film/show reviews which are both insightful and absurdly creative. The hosts present their podcast in a variety-show type approach complete with a cat-cenobite host! They keep it entertaining and fun while dropping all the trivia they can!
Well structured and even better delivery!
The guys on this podcast give you everything you could want in a podcast. Topics and chemistry. I cant stress it enough that they know how to keep a great show going from the carefully delivered topics to the quick and thought provoking banter between them. Keep up the great work!
