It’s right in the title…

… that these guys are jerks! A lot of what they’re saying is funny and I like some of the bits they do, but some of it… wow! The way they talk about women and s ex is a cross between 12 year old boys and out of touch, dirty old men. I’m not a huge fan of the modern day recasts either. Mostly because they’ve clearly only ever heard of like 4 actors. The whole thing is equal parts laugh out loud and equal parts weird and cringy. I haven’t listened to the newer episodes yet, so maybe the new hosts are a little less creepy.

Really funny podcast

I rarely review but seeing other reviews of this podcast made me want to. If you are looking for people to wax poetic and kiss the butt of everyone involved with the films production go somewhere else. If you want to hear funny people talking about classic movies and are not aghast if some actor from the 50s gets his name pronounced incorrectly your in the right spot. Making fun of something does not mean you dont respect or enjoy it as the numerous host and guests have proved over the years.

Funny but....

Ok, I’m a classic film lover and these guys can be funny and charming. Love the “sooo old” part of the show. However sometimes they miss so much important history or facts and I cringe. This week is Wizard of Oz and in remakes they completely overlooked “The Wiz” on Broadway and film, and..... although not the same story... Broadway’s Wicked. They did mention a Disney version of Wizard of Oz and a prequel by James Franco. Ouch!! Also some facts are wrong. Judy Garland was not in the original “A Star is Born”, but the second one. Either just continue to be funny and leave out facts or do some research.
