Like Totally Cool, Man!
I love Gerry Davila’s podcast! I was introduced to him by listening to him guest host on another podcast I love ’Tis the Podcast’. I don’t get to catch him live or when it is released, so I miss out my opportunities to comment, but my memories of totally awesome Christmases and holiday seasons are brought to the forefront of my mind. Thank you for your Totally Rad Podcast! <3
Totally Rad!
As a Gen Xer (kid in the 80’s, teenager in the early 90’s) this podcast hits every nostalgic sweet spot. Gerry is a delight and it’s obvious he has a real affinity for everything he covers. The guests add a lot of fun insight to the discussions. A few exceptions were the two annoying, drunk ladies on the Who’s the Boss episode and the woman who seemed really bored and disinterested in the NKOTB episodes. I was really looking forward to those episodes, but the cohosts made them unlistenable. Fortunately there have only been a few misses in a string of great episodes.
Episode 160 Newhart!!
I just loved this episode and the guest you had on who is excellent by the way had such a good take on the humor of newhart and all the nuances.Especially when he noted that sometimes the funniest moments are the silent ones which is so true it’s almost uncomfortable and you just laugh!
Also correct is the fact the show flies right under the radar it’s one of the funniest shows ever I don’t even think it makes a top 20 of the greatest comedy shows of all time and it really should it should be in the top 10For the dry humor it’s just so awesome that you guys are recognizing it.
Keep up the great work with the 80s it was a great time to grow up in the shower really is so nostalgic for me and I just love every episode.
