As an autism mom, you give so much to your loved ones. Do you have a focus to implement on how you nurture yourself? Hello, lovies; welcome to Confetti Compassion for Autism Moms, the podcast with your host, Colette. When my son was diagnosed a million eons ago, I found myself on the grind to support him. My schedule was full of doctor appointments and therapy sessions, and my days were full of never-ending piles of demands and obligations.
After years of frantic pursuit to fix everything, I broke and didn't have anything to give. Until I discovered self-compassion; loving-kindness, mindfulness, and common humanity, this practice has allowed me to introduce a kinder and more supportive way of responding to my big beautiful, chaotic life.
In this podcast, we will reinforce that we are not alone as we face the stress, demands, and obligations of a life influenced by autism.
Each episode will have content related to our autism parents' experiences. However, as we explore these topics, they will be discussed through the lens of self-compassion.

A bright moment in my week
I am so happy I found Colette and her podcast. It feels like spending time with a good friend who just gets me. Her interviews are so fun and informative. I learn something every time I tune in. I love her solo podcasts best because she shares so openly and from the heart. I can’t wait to learn more about self compassion as the podcast continues. Thank you Collette!!
