Context: And a Little More Intro

In this episode (recorded on Jan 29, 2023), Eliyaju shares the context behind getting a late diagnosis for ADHD after masking as a neurotypical person for 19 almost 20 years and how Tiktok helped them to seek out a diagnosis. They then go on to describe how post-receiving this diagnosis helped them to break out of the “cage” of societal and familial expectations that were projected onto them throughout their entire life before being diagnosed. After, they talked about how they set intentions with the moon and how they started using the app and teaching on Insight Timer. They then mention briefly how magical affirmations can be for self-love and acceptance. Eliyaju finishes the episode by discussing some effects after they first started testosterone over 7 months ago.

Context: More Intro

In the first part of this episode (recorded on Jan 22, 2023), Eliyaju fills in some of the gaps from tangents discussed in the previous episode (explaining more about how this podcast came to be, the breast reduction journey, and how that led to them discovering they were transgender/gender non-conforming). CW/TW Mentions of Gender and Body Dysmorphia/Dysphoria This led to a discussion of the effects of being sexualized and objectified as a child in the patriarchal society they grew up in public education and how their current dysphoria fluctuates. They talk about getting their first period and stories from middle school. In the second half (recorded Jan 24, 2023), they discuss their spirituality and connection to Judaism and how the journey to finding their authentic self syncs up with their spiritual awakening. They chat about what “Spirit” is and connect to their spirit guides. Additionally, they share about how they grew up Jewish and their observance as a kid versus how they observe now. For the last 4 or so minutes of the episode, there is a sound healing that was originally recorded live on Insight Timer.
