What is a spiritual approach to therapy? From Shaldon I have learned to get in contact with my soul, find my inner peace and connect to life - through meditation.
I've had spiritual therapy sessions with Shaldon once a week over the last three years. In the weekly sessions, I stabilise and train how to let go of the ego's grip on me and thereby give space for the soul and life within. Because of these sessions, I've gained a far more sustainable approach to myself, my work and my surroundings.
And this is what I want to share with you all! Welcome to Conversations with Shaldon Fitzgerald!

#7 - Marie Tourell Søderberg - Creativity and bringing the formless into form

Welcome to Conversations with Shaldon Fitzgerald - A Spiritual approach to Therapy.

IN THIS LAST EPISODE, I have invited my producer on this podcast, Marie Tourell Søderberg, to join our conversation.

The three of us will investigate the relationship between the body, the spirit and creativity.

Marie is a person who immerses herself in what it means to be a creative person on many different levels.

In addition to being the co-creator and producer on this podcast, she's an actor.

She's also the co-author of a book that she's writing together with a professor from the university about the interaction between creativity, play and creating. She also has a production company where she is currently working on writing a movie script developed on a completely new working method - a working method Marie and her partner, Amanda Collin, has based on the woman's menstrual cycle.

Furthermore she's created her own podcast about co-creating. So this is just to mention some of the things Marie does - and if one has to ask a person about process and creativity and creating - then it would be Marie.

She is also one of Shaldon's clients and use his teachings in her work, whatever it is as a writer, an actor, a producer, or co-creator.

Welcome to this last episode, this time around anyway, on Conversations with Shaldon Fitzgerald - A Spiritual approach to Therapy.

    Enjoy!

    ABOUT ME:

My name is Christine. I live in Copenhagen with my husband and two grown up daughters. I'm 49 years old and work as an actor here in Copenhagen, and has done that for the last 25 years.

Three years ago I was hit by a midlife crisis that made me reach out for some guidance to bring my stressed system in balance.

A good friend of mine advised me to talk to a spiritual therapist named Shaldon Fitzgerald -  and so I did. I was so curious - what exactly is spiritual therapy, I thought.

I soon learned that Shaldon's therapy was something about contacting the soul through meditation, and through this, achieving an inner peace and connection with life, which will release one's potential as a human being here on earth.

#6 - Amanda Collin - The art of embracing freedom

#6 - Amanda Collin - The art of embracing freedom

Welcome back to this episode of Conversations with Shaldon Fitzgerald - a Spiritual approach to Therapy.

Today we have a visit from Amanda Collin on air.

Amanda is, in addition to being a very close friend and colleague of mine, and the person who has introduced Denmark to Shaldon - a natural born superstar, to me anyway. Whether it is as an actor, as a person, as a mother, as a friend, there's a very special vibration that flows around Amanda, a magnetic field that one can't ignore. Amanda likes to play in the unknown. She's not particularly happy about being put into structure, and it is in this field we will play, elaborating over putting things into boxes and not wanting to put things into boxes.

And also following one's flow by feeling all of your feelings without judging them, to thereby create space for the soul.

#5 - Lars Ranthe - Navigating life in the spotlight

#5 - Lars Ranthe - Navigating life in the spotlight

Welcome to Conversations with Shaldon Fitzgerald - A Spiritual approach to Therapy.

In today's episode, I have invited Lars Ranthe, an actor who most people know, at least here in Denmark, for his many excellent performances in both films and on television over the past 20 years. In addition to that, Lars has also been my husband for the past 25 years.

And since we're both actors, we've always had an ongoing conversation about how we maintain the desire and inspiration in the work we do, and what it takes to create optimal conditions for the many different creative workspaces we navigate in, when we, as freelance actors, jump from one task to the next, always with new colleagues and new surroundings.

Lars has also had sessions with Shaldon in connection to his work as an actor. And in this episode, we'll talk about how you can protect your creative flow in all phases of the process by using meditation, and what it is that drives us to say yes to tasks that sometimes create performance anxiety and fear. If we could just say no and do something else…

#4 - Graceful unveiling: A spiritual awakening in the face of terminal illness

Welcome to conversations with Shaldon Fitzgerald - A Spiritual approach to Therapy.

IN THIS FOURTH EPISODE I have invited Dennis to come and tell about his experience with spirituality.

Dennis is a dear family member and we've known each other for many years without once having talked about faith or spirituality when we saw each other. For Dennis, the experience of being in the world with a spiritual consciousness is completely new and a consciousness he's been thrown into in a very acute way.

Half a year ago on a trip with his wife and two children down through Germany. While driving the family's motor home, Dennis suddenly hears some strange disturbances. All sounds are distorted and sounds almost like computer sounds, is how he later told me about it. And the next thing Dennis remember is waking up in a German hospital with a message from a doctor that's going to change his life as he knew it completely.

Through me Dennis got to know Shaldon, and the two have been having weekly conversations for a few months now.

I find that Dennis and his story is incredibly relevant, and that his razor sharp new access to the human experience is something we can all learn from and be inspired by.

Welcome to Conversations with Shaldon Fitzgerald - A Spiritual approach to Therapy.

IN THIS THIRD EPISODE we'll talk about why I, Christine, find it hard not to bring drama into every context and conversation - and what there is left to talk about if we were all living in fearless peace.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON THE RECORDED SESSIONS WITHIN THE PODCAST:

When I started in therapy with Shaldon three years ago, I asked him if he was okay with me recording our therapy sessions, which he was.  My need to record was simply because I wanted to listen to it between our weekly sessions and thereby integrate the teachings and techniques.

Since the idea of making a podcast with Shaldon appeared, I all of a sudden found that my old recorded weekly sessions became a gold mine - a mirror of where I was when I started, reflecting back to me where I am today. And it's that mirror in which this podcast takes its starting point.
