Benjie Ignacio ,

great no nonsense podcast about rock n roll

Longtime listener since its inception, and of its predecessor podcast, Dad Rock. Thoughtful, spirited conversation, often revelatory and always lighthearted (except when they do an RIP episode, which sadly happens now again). Like cracking a beer at a picnic table with a couple of your music fan friends.

Loved the Tom Petty Wildflowers and all the Rest conversation.

An update regarding availability of the song “Something Could Happen” (one of quite a few previously unreleased gems): Apple Music has had it available for online streaming as part of the 70 song Super Deluxe version since Friday’s release for its subscribers/trial memberships.

Thanks to this informative podcast. Have a few of the other questions up for future listens. These guys are thoughtful in their discussion and obviously avid listeners of music.

I have enjoyed this podcast but it has taken a turn for the worse

I have listened to this podcast every day for two years. While there were a few episodes that I bailed on, for the most part, I enjoyed the podcast. Over the last several months, the quality has declined significantly. The word community is used far too frequently. The guys have become self absorbed and uncreative. Recent episodes have been so arcane that only a diehard could possibly make it through them. The infatuation with Echo Park Jimmy is simply unfathomable. He is a blow hard that nver has anything interesting to say. I unsubscribed today.
