COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- If you only made it through the first 45-minutes of the LA Galaxy's 3-2 loss to Minnesota United on Wednesday, we're not going to blame you.

A 25th-minute red card to Kevin Cabral threw the game- already 1-0 to the visitors- into even greater disarray.

But could some positives come out of a second half that was reminiscent of some of the better performances the Galaxy have had this year? Is scoring two goals while down a man enough of a gut check for this team?

And has Greg Vanney already lost the team?

On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and special guest host Nikki Kay (SpectrumSN sports/sideline reporter) want to talk about this wild Galaxy game.

Josh and Nikki will start by reminding everyone that the transfer window is open, and Nikki will tell you what Vanney is expecting from a new defensive midfielder.

Then it's a deep dive into some of the good and a lot of the bad of the game against Minnesota. What did Nikki see from the sidelines? What reaction did the team provide in the last 45 minutes? And is the clock ticking on Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez to start scoring goals and looking dangerous?

Then Josh and Nikki want to prepare you for Spectrum's coverage of the July 4th matchup between LA and CF Montreal. Can a Montreal side that just outplayed Seattle falter against a Galaxy team that can't decide if they're good or not?

We've got a lot to talk about, and we'll need you to listen along!

Thanks for coming to this Corner of the Galaxy!

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- It's tough to get excited about the LA Galaxy right now. Even if you still believe this is a good team, it's not always easy to see. And there are plenty of ways you could take the highs and the lows.

So with a forced weekend off, it almost feels like the Galaxy got worse by not playing. Although with the loss to USL side Sacramento Republic still hanging over their heads, maybe it was good to get a short break.

On today's show, host Josh Guesman (Kevin Baxter is away in Qatar doing World Cup prep) is talking about all the moves around the LA area and why Galaxy fans are tough to please.

Josh will update you on quotes from Greg Vanney at training today, tell you why the Galaxy seem more set on two players now in this upcoming window, and why Vanney really wants a defensive midfielder. But does Vanney have a point?

During the show, Josh will also talk about the two names that might be headed toward the Galaxy once the transfer window opens and go over the roadblocks to bringing in two international players this summer.

Finally, he's getting you ready for the Galaxy's match with Minnesota United on Wednesday night and why this feels like a game the Galaxy should win. But how many times have we said that before?

We've got a packed show for you, and we're delighted you decided to come outside, get some fresh air, and just breathe in all this soccer talk!

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy will wish they were still on the international break. After surviving the Portland Timbers, surely an energized Galaxy side would be able to handle a lower division Sacramento Republic side. Not so fast. In fact, really slow and plodding.

On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Christian Miles discuss the many ways the Galaxy failed to meet the intensity of a US Open Cup game that was played just about as perfectly as you could have hoped by USL side Sacramento Republic. What did Greg Vanney see on the night, and why are several players who may have just played themselves out of playing time down the stretch?

And what did the loss reveal about the Galaxy's summer needs? Will they be going for a Central Attacking Midfielder (CAM)? And should you be worried about them finding the right piece?

Also, Josh and Christian will talk about the postponed Cali-Clasico and the likely reason the Galaxy aren't headed to a different stadium to play this weekend. And surprise... it's about MONEY.

We've got a packed show of reaction, analysis, and criticism of a team that doesn't have all the pieces they need and why they should be tired of waiting for other pieces to come around.

Let's get you more than 60 minutes of Galaxy-talk. It all starts right now on show no. 950!

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- He's been around Major League Soccer since 2006. He's a former United States Men's National Team player, has played in Belgium, and is confident this LA Galaxy is a good team -- that still needs to get a lot better.

On Friday, June 17, 2022, Josh Guesman packed up the podcast studio and drove up to Dignity Health Sports Park for a 45-minute interview with Galaxy Midfielder Sacha Kljestan.

Together, Josh and Sacha will talk about Sacha's rise to a professional soccer player, the differences in mentality between US and European soccer players, and why he took a massive pay cut to stay in Los Angeles and with the Galaxy.

And just in case you're expecting someone like Sacha to tell you that giving back that much money was easy, he'll let you know why it wasn't.

Enjoy over 45 minutes of soccer talk covering all things LA Galaxy and Sacha Kljestan. Including why he's so comfortable being a spokesperson for any social cause he believes in and why he does it for his kids.

And CoG would like to send out a big thank you to Sacha and the LA Galaxy (Vicky Mercado) for setting up and getting us this one-on-one interview.

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy are in for a tough week. They had to battle for a draw against a Portland Timbers side that pressed all the right buttons, they have to get ready for a Sacramento Republic team that wants to prove they're MLS ready, and then they'll travel to take on San Jose in the Cali-Clasico.

On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman (LA Galaxy beat writer) and Kevin Baxter (LA Times Soccer Reporter) discuss the Galaxy's battle against the Timbers and why head coach Greg Vanney probably didn't see the game the same way you did.

What did fans make of the combination of Dejan Joevljic and Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez? And why was the midfield once again at the center of the post-game discussion? Is the 3-5-2 the solution to everyone's problems? But does that also mean the Galaxy need a central attacking midfielder? Does Vanney want a CAM?

Josh and Kevin will walk you through some of the charts that tell the story of the Galaxy through the first 15 games, and they'll whisper about how loud Joveljic is with his scoring streak.

Then the guys shift to looking at a stingy Sacramento side led by former LA Galaxy Defender Todd Dunivant. Will the President of the Sacramento Republic make his former club nervous when they come to town playing the exact type of soccer with which the Galaxy have trouble?

Josh and Kevin discuss what they see in this game and why this is truly one of the year's biggest games with a chance to be two wins from a major trophy.

The show is back and ready to give you all the Galaxy news you need! Let's get ready for the Open Cup!

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- Los Angeles will be home to the World Cup in 2026. So you should probably start saving your money now!

On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira discuss the LA Galaxy and all the worldwide news Major League Soccer is making.

Quite honestly, this show isn't short!

Josh and Eric will start by discussing Los Angeles and SoFi Stadium winning the right to host some World Cup games in 2026 with a small surprise that it's now less than four years away. In fact, the World Cup would be upon us already if it wasn't going to be held this winter.

The guys also want to talk about some strange marketing that the Galaxy are doing while welcoming country superstar Carrie Underwood to the sho...

Will the Galaxy use that Carry Underwood money for a CAM? Let's discuss.

But the bulk of the show will be spent breaking down the league-shifting TV deal that will see Apple get more than 900 MLS games that you'll be able to subscribe to with no blackouts no matter where you are in the world. Does this mean death to the mythical casual fan? Is this a smart move for a league that will be at 30 teams ten years down the road? And what does a minimum guaranteed contract mean?

Then, Josh and Eric will update you on things Greg Vanney said at training and why that means the Galaxy are making a midfield addition this summer.

Finally, the guys will get you ready for a game the Galaxy should win. LA hosts the Portland Timbers on Saturday, and if the Galaxy want to be that comfortable playoff team they should be, they win this game relatively easily.

And that should make you nervous.

Join us for almost 90 minutes of Galaxy-talk. We're delighted that you're joining us!
