Cravin' Craven Patrick Bromley & Heather Wixson

A very informative podcast about the late great Wes Craven’s filmography. You can tell the hosts have real love for this director but also does a great job at background research while having good interesting discussions. This is great for fans of Craven and Horror and is also a good podcast for people wanting to learn more about horror history. Definitely worth checking out.

This Wes Craven podcast isn’t about Craven or his movies. But, if you want to hear about how they dislike Dawson’s Creek or how Pizza is great this is the podcast for you. You also get to hear Heather talk about how she’s so old. She’s 40. I find it incredibly insulting to hear her constantly, on every podcast she’s on, basically tell me I’m old. It’s stupid ignorant ageist sexist bull. If you want a good Craven podcast, this sadly isn’t it. Such a shame

I appreciate a show dedicated to the legend Wes Craven. The hosts are both pleasant but I think the show needs more discussion about the biographical details of Wes’s life as it’s relevant to each film. Also recordings of interviews should be cut into the episodes and maybe more dives into the supplemental material available on the latest releases of his movies. Perhaps some additional guests on each episode too. Maybe some Skype interviews with people related to each production?
