This week: Crushing A Crazy Saturday

For many parents, July can be crazy! Take it hour by hour, day by day, and try to remain calm.

Recognizing when you are in an anxious state when things are hectic. Visual and mental exercises can help you calm.

When the anxiety hits, STOP and employ the RE process: rewind, reset, refocus, replace, reframe, reflect, and rejoice. Practice it and it will become automatic.

Instead of getting into the rushed and angry mode, talk to yourself and go over why the things you are doing are good things. Smile and enjoy the journey.

Your anxious state initiates other states of being in those around you, that are not ideal.

We can’t do everything ourselves. We need a village. DELEGATE!

Rephrasing the way you talk about your day and what you HAVE to do to what you GET to do, will change the way you feel about things.

With your partner, try to be observant and recognize patterns of emotion in each other, and discuss how you can improve things together.

Be confident in your ability to get it done. You will find you are much calmer getting through hectic times. Practice makes perfect. Repeat what worked, stop what didn’t.
