This world does not discriminate with brokenness. At one point or another we will all experience the sting of a broken world, where our hope is tested. So, where do we start when we find ourselves in a season of hopelessness? Hope is more than a passive emotion…it’s a call to action; a call to start digging. According to 1 Peter 3:15 we should always be prepared to share our hope with others. Why? Because it is the power of testimony that plants hope and builds faith. This podcast allows those stories and testimonies, of people just like you and me, to cultivate that ground. Let’s dig!

Episode 17: Hope in the Midst of a Prison Cell - Robbie Neal

Episode 17: Hope in the Midst of a Prison Cell - Robbie Neal

I’m so excited to introduce you to our guest today! I’ve known him since he was 16 years old, back when we worked together at skyline chili here in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’ve kept in touch through the years, as life has taken some twists and turns… such a turn, in fact, that my friend Robbie found himself in the midst of a prison cell searching for hope. Quick warning: This episode does contain drug and alcohol references, so that’s a tender spot for you, I ask that you steward, your heart wisely, as well as maybe saving this episode for later if you have little ears around. I wanted to have him here today, to share his story and his perspective from a physical place many of us will never experience in our lifetime… however everyone of us have battled with, or will find ourselves in the midst of a mental, emotional, or spiritual prison at some point…whether that stems from an external factor, or from something that we create ourselves. Robbie is going to share with us how we can also turn our rock-bottom into a firm foundation that can very well become a launching pad.

Jacob W Robinson ,

Weekly staple

Cultivate hope dives deep to what modern day Christians experience on a day to day basis. I think this Podcast is relevant to anyone, as we all struggle with finding hope in the ebb and flow of life from time to time.

Tuesdays are now my favorite!

I started listening to this podcast because I was so excited for a fellow sister in Christ and wanted to hear what she had been up to. I didn’t realize it would turn into a weekly rhythm that I can’t live without. It’s the first thing I turn on Tuesday mornings, and has been a staple in my routine these past few months. What started as a listen, turned into the Lord working in me and bringing to light the things I’ve stopped hoping for. Sarah is such a gentle and bold spirit who is inviting people to share their stories of hope; that is ultimately opening the door for us to keep hoping too. And on the days where hope feels lost in my life, I go back and listen as a declaration of the hope of Jesus when I can’t seem to get there myself. Moral of the story: add this podcast to your weekly routine. Pronto. 🫶🏼

One of my favorite weekly listens!

I look forward to a new episode each week! As a mom I don’t have much time to get my dose of God or speak about Him with the people outside my home. I love being able to pop on this podcast whenever I have a few free minutes. Faith and hope have been so important in my own journey as a follower of Christ, wife, and mother and I just LOVE hearing other peoples’ journeys!
