Daily Grace exists to encourage and equip women to seek God in His Word. Our goal is for women to know that deep Bible study, sound doctrine, and rich theology are not just for the seminary student or pastor, but are accessible and transformational for all believers. We want to invite women to join us in our conversation about our great God, and be encouraged to seek a deeper knowledge of God that leads them to live their lives for God glory as they grow in love and awe in response to who He is.
Daily Grace is a weekly podcast brought to you by The Daily Grace Co. and hosted by Joanna Kimbrel and Stefanie Boyles.
Complaining: Godly Grief or Crossing the Line? with Lauren Weir
We all complain, right? So what do we do with verses like “do all things without grumbling” (Phil 2:14)? Does this mean we’re supposed to gloss over our frustrations and smile all the time? Or is there a way to complain without sinning? Today, we talk about the difference between godly lament and sinful complaining. The pattern of lament actually includes complaint; in our lament, God uses our complaints to knit our hearts to His. Lauren helps us see how this can play out in our everyday lives.
How to Pursue Discipleship When Life is Busy
We’re all busy, and yet, we’re all called to discipleship. Yes, what we see in Scripture is that disciples make disciples. Discipleship is not just for those in vocational ministry; it’s not just something “super” Christians do. It is something we are all called to pursue! Maybe we know there are many benefits of these types of relationships, but we don’t know how to pursue them in our busy lives. Remember: discipleship can look different, and there are practical things you can do to make it hap
You’re in a Battle: Engaging in Spiritual Warfare
What comes to mind when you hear “spiritual warfare”? Are you apathetic? Are you consumed by it? Are you confused? As believers, we need to have a biblical approach to this very real spiritual war that we’re all facing. We need to go to God’s Word to see what it tells us about Satan and his demons and how they work in our world. Scripture calls us to be prepared to engage in battle, and we need to know how we can practically do this in our day to day lives.
How Jesus Responds to Sinners and Sufferers with Dane Ortlund
The gospel embodies the heart of Christ, but these are the actual words Jesus offered to describe His own heart: “I am gentle and lowly in heart”. Jesus is telling His people, then and now, that He is tender, welcoming, and accessible. And good news: His heart extends to us today, in the face of our own sin and suffering. Understanding the heart of Christ impacts how we live. It confronts our shame and offers us hope. Don’t ever forget this: His heart is for sinners and sufferers.
Being Peacemakers in a Divisive World
Does a peacemaker create peace by avoiding contentious issues? Do they remain silent and passive in order to maintain the peace? In Scripture, we see that believers are called to be peacemakers; however, we see that this is actually not a call to silence, avoidance, and passivity. Biblical peace is not just the absence of conflict; it’s the presence of Jesus. So we don’t pretend everything is fine or avoid hard things to keep the peace. Instead, we make peace by pointing to the One who is Peace.
Practical Ways to Improve Your Prayer Life
The way to overcome lies about prayer is to go to God’s Word to see what it says about prayer. Lies are debunked by truth found in Scripture! But as we exchange these lies for truth, how can we move forward and live in light of them? In this bonus episode, we offer some practical ways you can improve your prayer life.
Love the topics, it has helped me connect bible truth to daily life situations. I love that lots of scripture is always involved.
For months I have been feeling so hopeless and listening to one of Daily Graces episodes convicted my heart so well. It finally felt like a cloud was lifting.
Encouraging & Practical
I have been listening to the Daily Grace Co. podcast for a three months and I cannot recommend it enough. Stefanie and Joanna talk very practically about the word of God transforming how we walk. They tackle tough, practical topics with sound theology, and thoughtfully provide additional resources. I am grateful for how they have inspired a deeper love and longing for the word of God.
Thanks for making Tuesday’s more fun!
