Shine a Light: Women’s History Month

Shine a Light: Women’s History Month

Nikki’s been pulled in a lot of different directions lately, but a little insomnia motivated them to reconnect with her appreciation for the accomplishments of other women. Brie’s been thinking about how much society and culture have changed for women in the past century in big and small ways.

They also shine a spotlight on some women from the past and present who have had huge impacts on their lives and the lives of many women around the world, including Mia Hamm, Susan B. Anthony, biologist Rachel Carson, Mother Teresa, and Environmentalist Marina Silva.

Nikki & Brie also talk about their deep respect for Jennifer Lopez, her journey to the top, what she’s meant for other women, the confidence she gave them as teenagers, and the admiration they have for her, especially after self-funding and producing her new documentary and album that follows her journey to self-love, The Greatest Love Story Never Told,

Brie’s also been having some hilarious, but frustrating mornings with Buddy during school drop off lately and Nikki’s having a far different experience with Matteo.

To close out the episode Nikki & Brie each share their Inspiration & Affirmation that highlights self love, confidence, and independence.

    Nikki IS BACK!

Last week, Nikki had to take a breather, but she’s back on the mic with a lot of updates.

First, Nikki & Brie are both dealing with sick kids in their houses, and they’ve figured out a way to make it work as they battle upset tummies, runny noses, squeezing cheeks, and more. They’ve been in fight or flight mode for the past week, but when Dr. Breezy and Dr. Nicole are on the case, the diagnosis is fight.

They’ve also seen new sides to Buddy & Matteo’s relationship together, including some wild shenanigans at birthday parties. Speaking of birthday parties, Birdie is already in full party planner mode for her big birthday…in May.

Nikki’s very proud of her workout progress, and she’s gotten a lot of encouragement to share her wisdom and journey back to the body she wants, especially from the twins’ mom, which has definitely been motivating for her.

The Garcia Twins also share some insight into their nighttime routine, it seems that Nikki’s is fast and fierce, while Brie’s has been getting longer and longer lately. We also have an update on the Car Seat Incident of 2023 that has now come back to haunt Nikki, while Brie is certain that all that’s needed is a little more effort.

Then Nikki & Brie cover some trending topics ranging from kids at wedding receptions, whether you should Hurkle-Durkle or not, and the benefits of luxury baths at hotels.

They also pause for a moment to argue over some Bonita Bonita plans and then touch on an event they did with their mom, which led to some uplifting ideas for the future of Nikki & Brie.

To close it out, Brie shares her pick for Inspiration & Affirmation this week that ties into their roles as caretakers this past week.

    5 Questions: Bryan Danielson

    5 Questions: Bryan Danielson

Today, Brie gets top billing as it’s a Brie & Bryan episode of the show. Nicole is under the weather, and Brie is beginning to notice a pattern, but Bryan thinks it might just be perception.

At home, Birdie is dealing with allergies, something that Bryan has dealt with throughout his childhood, and Brie is on a mission to identify what’s causing Birdie’s sinus issues, which is something she’s been dealing with for a long time. Birdie’s also inherited Bryan’s fear of needles, but Brie has found the cure to that dread: shopping!

Then Brie gets curious and kicks off another edition of Five Questions with Bryan as they ask one another five questions without limits! The conversation covers Bryan’s desire for learning, positive qualities, daily routines, distractions, consequences to our actions, the Easter Bunny, Ed Sheeran, regrets, sex positions and…blowing up the moon!

Then Brie runs through some audience questions for Bryan that cover growing up in Aberdeen, the possibility of adding someone from the AEW roster to BCC, and dealing with anxiety.

    Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan

    Indigenous Continent by Pekka Hämäläinen

    Bewilderment by Richard Powers

    Rumi: Poems

Why Good Sex Matters by Dr. Nan Wise

Then Bryan shares his simple choice for Inspiration & Affirmation and then offers a challenge to one specific billionaire to blow up the moon.

Great Working Mom Pod

You will like this podcast if you are a parent and are 30+ years of age. Covers beautifully the life of working mothers. If you are a fan of The Bella Twins and wanna catch up with them this is the best place. The older pods mentions wrestling if you came here to hear about that. I will say younger audiences won’t relate to this podcast. If you also like DWTS this is for you. Overall this is a very fun podcasts for mothers.

Love these Ladies

I love these ladies & this podcast. Definitely prefer episodes without guests, unless it’s Artem and/or Bryan.

Snooze fest lately

I wish the show had more fun games and segments and less boring interviews. I’m sure all the Twin Love twins you have interviewed are great but I’m so confused as to whom is whom and have no idea who is talking. Also all the diet talk is very triggering to many people recovering from eating disorders and disordered eating. Please bring back the old fun format.
