Date 'Em or Dump 'Em KX 96.9

I listen to these type of shows from over 10 stations. Heard one call that was awfully similar and though coincidence. Heard another one that was verbatim to the Jon and Chantel show. I’m talking about same scenario verbatim. But Jon and Chantel also copies from Corey and Sandy so maybe it’s just a thing that they do 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’ve been listening to date em or dump em for a few years now - loved listening on the radio during my morning commute to work.

I listen to a ton of radio stations that do the second date updates, so I was a little surprised when I started hearing date em or dump em episodes with stories that I had heard before... like... EXACTLY the same scenarios - not just ‘oh, I guess that kinda situation happens a lot!’
I figured it was just a repeat (especially since we are in a pandemic & other radio stations have been replaying past episodes until recently) or maybe I was finally going insane from everything happening in 2020...

Today’s episode (10-13-20) convinced me that I’m not crazy. It was too similar to one I had listened to on Q102 Jeff & Jen’s podcast to ignore, so I compared the two.

9-30-20 ‘I need time... I can’t talk’ (Jeff & Jen)
- Jack is an introvert & met Lucy online dating
- They met at a dog park and spent 2 hours there
- They had good convo & discussed going out again
- it has been 5 days since & he hasn’t heard anything
- They call Lucy & she says now is not a good time... her dog was hit by a car & died

10-13-20 ‘Caleb & Sarah & her dog’ (Date em or dump em)
- Caleb is an introvert & met Sarah online dating
- they met at a dog park & spent about 2 hours there
- they had good convo & discussed going out again
- it has been 5 days since & he hasn’t heard anything
- They call Sarah.... her dog was hit by a car & died

Coincidence or not?
If the #’s weren’t the same (2 hour date, 5 days since the date), maybe I’d say coincidence. But that, plus they made a point to say the guy is an introvert & the reason for her not texting/calling was exactly the same... I’d say it’s not a coincidence.

Please either promote your segment as being fake/scripted so at least we know or quit copying other stations
