Day 15: Sunday, Jan 17 Rock Brook Church

    • Christianity

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

1. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit

Matthew 6:22-23 (NIV)

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.

2. My body belongs to God

Romans 12:1 (NIV)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

3. My body was made to honor God

Romans 6:13 (NLT)

Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God.

DAILY PRAYER EMPHASIS — THANK GOD FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE

“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT)

God demonstrates His love for you in all sorts of ways. This verse reminds us that when we pray, it is good to regularly come back to thanking God for His ultimate act of love. (John 3:16) Take this Sunday and dedicate your week to God. Thank God, for the gift of eternal life.
