More, better, happier

I found Tim’s podcast mid 2018 and it changed my writing life! First page critiques are insightful and have helped me think critically about my work on the line. Writing rambles are a wonderful window into Tim’s life and struggles as an author. Author interviews are always entertaining and I have a mile high TBR list thanks to them. I especially love the interviews with neuroscientists and others in the scientific community that explain why we love stories and how they affect our brains. And the Couch to 80K is the best series of writing exercises you will find anywhere. And he does all this for free for love of the writing community and to help us all write more, better, and be happier while we do it. Mission accomplished Tim!

Gave up on what made it great

There is great stuff in the first page critiques of the first season-- unfortunately Tim has given up on that in favor of self-indulgent political rambles and interviews with authors. No longer engages text directly, which was the draw that made this show unique and good. RIP death of 1000 cuts.

I’m not alone

I discovered this amazing podcast not too long ago and can safely say it’s by far my favorite writing podcast. Tim’s advice and honesty keep me coming back for more. His insight on the process and inner turmoil of writing have given me new perspective on my own approach to it. I’ve dabbled with writing off and on my whole life, but after embarking on the free course “Couch to 80k,” I’m much more confident in my developing writing habits. Who’s to say where it will lead me, but I’m excited for the journey. Thank you, Tim. Keep up the great work.
