Ep. 310 - Multipolarity and the West, with Ben Dixon

My guest this week is Ben Dixon, author of the "Where the Wasteland Ends" Substack (). We are breaking down the rise of larger world superpowers as the US and the West are having to respect these powers. The West was able to run roughshod through much of the last 50 years. With the rise of Russia, China, India, and Brazil, this is no longer the case. What will the ramifications of this be? What happens with the dollar on the world stage? We discuss these items and more. Ep. 309: Atheism and the Problem of Knowledge, Part 1, with Adam Patrick

Ep. 309: Atheism and the Problem of Knowledge, Part 1, with Adam Patrick

My guest this week is host of the Age of Information podcast and friend of the show, Adam Patrick. Adam and I discuss the circular faith that is atheism. Many vocal atheists choose to dunk on low-hanging fruit, and when challenged to present why and how they arrived at their worldview, can't articulate it. Atheism, as well as any worldview, has to rely on faith at some level. Adam breaks down the epistemology of atheism, Orthodox Christianity, and various other worldviews. Ep. 308: Diary of a Psychosis, with Tom Woods

Ep. 308: Diary of a Psychosis, with Tom Woods

My guest this week is one of the best authors and podcasters in our circles. He is the great Tom Woods. Tom is the author of thirteen books, and his latest one is a devastating death blow to the COVID cultists that have plagued our entire existence since 2020. From the "experts" that we were told to trust, to the media, to even our own friends and family members, at times, SO many people were just plain evil and wrong. What Tom did was keep a daily newsletter that documented many of the lies and inconsistent so-called "science" that we were yelled at to trust. From Tom's famous charts where you couldn't possibly tell which county did what regarding lockdowns and masks, to the many testimonies from those whose lives were destroyed because of the tyranny, Tom has a book full of receipts, and we are pulling them in this episode. What the evil people perpetuated during these years must never go unpunished nor unforgotten. In this episode, Tom and I discuss much of it. Ep. 307: The New Puritans, the New Witches, with Father Zechariah Lynch

Ep. 307: The New Puritans, the New Witches, with Father Zechariah Lynch

Today, Fr. Zechariah Lynch returns to the show to discuss some themes in one of his recent blog posts entitled, "We Found Witches! The Inquisition of Control over Human Freedom" over at his . America was founded by Puritans. That Puritan spirit has remained a guiding spirit of American culture and society even today. In the early years, many Christian Puritans were looking for witches to burn at the stake. This is still happening today. What is different in modern times is, while we have lost the spirit of Christianity, broadly speaking, Puritanism is still there, only now fueled by a secular religion. If you don't offer up the pinch of incense to many of these types, YOU will become the witch that they want to burn at the stake. Ep. 306: The Controlled Demolition of Civilization, with Jeff Deist

Ep. 306: The Controlled Demolition of Civilization, with Jeff Deist

Many of you know Jeff Deist as the former president of the Mises Institute. Jeff and I discuss the things that have led to the destruction of our culture and civilization. Jeff brings an economic perspective to this discussion. The Federal Reserve has incentivized a high time preference society. A society with a high time preference is a tribal society rather than a civil society. Why did the boomer generation allow this? What effects has this had on millennials and home ownership? Has it allowed the spirit of nihilism to flourish? Can it be fixed through political means? We discuss all of this and more. Ep. 305: Why I'm Not a Libertarian, with C.Jay Engel

Ep. 305: Why I'm Not a Libertarian, with C.Jay Engel

My guest this week has been in and around conservative and libertarian circles for many years. C.Jay Engel used to identify as a libertarian, and in this episode, he discusses his political journey and transformation. Why would this matter? Well, because it's a similar transformation to not only my own but also many of my listeners. This show is absolutely not an excuse to feel pride about ourselves nor malice toward any folks who still consider themselves libertarian. It is, however, to give an honest and intelligent dialogue on politics, power, democracy, rights, Christianity, economics, and more. Great interviews

Buck’s style of interview is so refreshing and his conversations are so refreshingly civil. The topics are great and seeing the evolution of Buck and being introduced to the subjects he approaches has been constructive to my own growth and thoughts.

Bashing Boomers

Quite often generations attack other generations. Stereotypes may contain some truth, but quite often are untrue.

I keep hearing trash talk about boomers in office, but when the people who are complaining name examples they name politicians who are part of the silent generation.

I agree that politicians who are boomers should be phasing out and planning to retiring, but the youngest boomers are 60 and not quite retirement age.

The economic downturn started with the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913, the first boomers were born in 1946. While the boomer generation didn’t help the situation, they didn’t start the problem. They just didn’t do much to try and stop the damage.

I also don’t believe that the gen x and millennial generations have tried much either. In fact I hear as much or more clamoring by the younger generations to expand benefits.

I happen to be a younger boomer and have complained about government spending my entire life since I was able to vote. It has and is my number one issue.

I realize that you can’t cut off the spigot cold turkey and need to phase it out. Cut it off cold turkey and you end up with complete chaos and there are no guarantees that you will prefer what gains power.

As flawed as our government is it is still better than the majority of other governments. The point is that the ponzy scheme once set in place will eventually fail. The boomer generation didn’t start the ponzy scheme but were born into it.

There are difficult choices that must be made to get out of the ponzy scheme. The boomer generation didn’t do a great job and there are no good signs that the gen z or millennial generation are willing to do much better and arguably could be worse.

With every president the debt goes up even before they do anything. It’s called math. The obligations are escalating by themselves even without new spending.

It could be argued that the pandemic was an attempt to reduce the population. The same with the non-declared wars we are involved in. One might argue that the government knows that there is a collapse coming and one resolution is less people.

Lastly, stop blaming any generation. The problem is the government and our corrupt politicians (probably 99%).

He’s capturing my heart

I love his voice, number 1. It starts there, then comes his clarity. It rings like a bell. Then comes his humility. It leads me toward something that I dare call grace. I am so grateful. Thank you Buck Johnson <3
