Ep. 304: Explaining Great Lent, with Father John Whiteford
The time of Great Lent is upon us. There are many misconceptions as well as questions surrounding it. My guest, Father John Whiteford, is Archpriest at St. Jonah Orthodox Church and the author of Sola Scriptura: In Vanity of Their Minds. He is here to field all of my questions regarding Great Lent and provide thorough and accurate answers. Why do we fast? What do we "give up" during Lent? Should we be adding more things rather than just subtracting things during Lent? What is Holy Week? Why is Lent 40 days? We get into all of this and more. Great Lent is the most important time of the year for Christians. Find out why in this episode of Counterflow. My guest today is known as The Prudentialist. He is a prolific writer, including over at The Blaze. He is a great podcaster as well. Today, we discuss the themes in his piece "Re-Enchantment And the Call to Adventure". We discuss the various factions on the right that are prepping to emerge and flourish as the current broken regime starts to fall. We discuss the civilizational bottleneck that has occurred, the fertility crisis, Christianity, and more. Ep. 302: Spiritual Warfare, America, and Russia, with Christine Lynn
My guest this week runs the site AmericanOrthodoxChristian.com where she writes on spiritual warfare, geopolitics, and other topics, as viewed through an orthodox lens. In this episode, we are discussing how spiritual warfare is manifesting itself through the Russian and Ukrainian conflict, the USA and NATO faction, as well as Israel and Palestine. Christine brings a very well-researched take to all of this, and I think you will enjoy this discussion. Ep. 301: We No Longer Have a Civilization
My guest this week is Jason Mironchuk, the host of the wonderful 2 Bit Podcast. He has been discussing some very intriguing theories on his show recently, and I wanted him to come here and discuss them with me. He postulates that we are no longer living in a civilization. We have returned to the tribal mode that many of us pretend we don't even understand. The spirit of the devouring mother is, in part, what lead us here. This was a function of liberalism, and now we are facing the consequence: the spirit of the vengeful son. What in the heck does all of this mean? What does this look like? What is to come? We get into all of this and more. Find ALL of Jason's great work here: Visit my website: Donate to the show here: Audio Production by Podsworth Media: Leave us a review and rating on iTunes! Thanks!

Ep. 300: The Regime is Weak and Crumbling, with Charles Haywood
This week, friend of the show and all around badass Charles Haywood is back on the show. Charles is the Maximum Leader over at the WorthyHouse.com and the founder of the applied political philosophy of Foundationalism. He is a member of Generation X. His views are right-wing with a future-oriented, post-liberal bent. He does not belong to any existing political party. In this discussion , we dive into just how weak the regime is now and what is to come once it crumbles. We get into the circulation of the elites, what a weak regime looks like, what comes next, the process in which this all happens, Elon Musk, Biden, Trump, Vivek, and more. For more from Charles, check out all of his great work over at: Visit my website: Donate to the show here: Audio Production by Podsworth Media: Leave us a review and rating on iTunes! Thanks!

Ep. 299: Texas vs. the Regime, with Jim Jatras and Clark Carlton
My home state of Texas and our governor have been making headlines as we pushback against the Federal Government and their attempts to open our borders to a mass invasion. My guests this week are both well versed in law, constitutional issues, American politics, and history. They are also both Orthodox Christians. In this episode, we detail what exactly is happening in Texas, what this fight represents, broadly speaking, as well as the specifics here in Texas. Is this a step towards Texas secession? What happens if the Federal Government pushes back and things heat up? Is TEXIT a legitimate answer? How weak has the federal regime become? We discuss all of this and more on this episode of Counterflow. Great interviews
Buck’s style of interview is so refreshing and his conversations are so refreshingly civil. The topics are great and seeing the evolution of Buck and being introduced to the subjects he approaches has been constructive to my own growth and thoughts.
He’s capturing my heart
I love his voice, number 1. It starts there, then comes his clarity. It rings like a bell. Then comes his humility. It leads me toward something that I dare call grace. I am so grateful. Thank you Buck Johnson <3
“Orthodoxy with Buck Johnson”
You can clearly tell Buck is a recent convert based upon his zealous advocacy of his faith. That is not a bad thing per se. I’m more glad than anyone that Buck has come back to Christ but his show has become less about politics and more about his specific religious denomination. As of this review his last four guests in a row have been related to the Orthodox denomination. Thus, his show which was about giving voice to alternative political perspectives has become about giving voice to one religious perspective. I’ll listen again once there’s a guest that has nothing to do with the orthodox faith.
