Declan Devine Campbell's Footballs

    • Soccer

Declan Devine, the manager of Derry City Football Club, joins me for this latest episode of Campbell's Footballs. On the show we talk about Declan's playing days as a goalkeeper, as he enjoyed an interesting career in Northern and Southern Ireland. We then move onto life in management and his love affair with the Candystripes and his relationship with the current Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny. We discuss early times at Derry before moving across to manage Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Premiership. In that chat we discuss an incredible run to the Scottish Cup final where the Pars lost narrowly to Celtic. We then discuss European football with Derry, in particular facing Gretna and Paris St Germain and how Pauletta was the difference in that European encounter against the French giants. In the final part of the show we discuss Declan's squad at Derry and some of the players to keep an eye on ahead of their new campaign. In association with Toby Johnson and Rory Hope Music.
