We're Holograms, Whadya Know? (S2, E16, Shadowplay)
It's "Shadowplay", the episode where we learn about Sarge's love for fake worlds, and her dislike of too close in camera smooches. Plus, there's a Deep Space Nine episode in there.
Plankton Loaf? (TNG, S4, E12, The Wounded)
It's our wildcard episode, TNG's "The Wounded", in which we ask, Is plankton loaf a food? Does Data affect his androidness? Is Picard a 24th century Hank Hill Join us to find out!
Amish Judge Dredd (S2, E15, Paradise)
Unfortunately, Sarge couldn't be here this week, so my friend Evan is filling in to comment on the space amish episode "Paradise". Let me know what you think of this one, and whether we should go back later and redo it with Sarge!
Accelerated Crankiness (S2, E14, Whispers)
Where doing "Whispers", a big mind screw of an episode! Can the replicator make hamsters? Is Ted Cruz a person? Will THEY hurt you? We don't answer any of these questions, but we do ask them!
I started watching DS9 for the first time this year and it has been a blast discovering it along with Sarge. This podcast is like hanging with the smartest and funniest nerd friends you know. They have made me laugh out loud at the gym, and occasionally their insights change how I understand the show. It’s also a little sadistically fun to hear them have to wade through the horrible episodes I skipped. This is a great companion experience if you are watching or rewatching the show.
My new fave!!
Trek in general had a special place in my heart, and DS9 is my fave. I love listening or reading about people’s first time through the series as it helps me relive the magic and this podcast hits all the right notes. Also as someone who has rewatched the season it’s great to hear from someone who is going through it again. I just started listening but have already binged through the first 8 episodes and can’t wait to hear both of your commentaries through the end!
Keep it Going
This is great, I’m new to the podcast seen so I’ve been testing them out, but I’ve stuck with this one. This is my favorite of the Star Trek series, keep doing what you’re doing.
