@davedelaney ,

Come along for the ride.

I have been listening to the Scarborough Dude since the beginning. His wisdom, stories, humour, honesty, and rants, always makes a compelling hour. You never know where you'll end up, but you'll be enlightened, entertained, and perhaps even offended along the way. Check it out now.

I'm new to this podcast and I'm loving it. I got a lot of catching up to do.

An undervalued gem

It's very strange that the Scarborough Dude doesn't have more great reviews on iTunes. While he can be a bit of a blowhard, he offers an authenticity which can't be faked. He grapples with serious life issues honestly, and lays his feelings bare in a way that you're not accustomed to seeing from the "gruff old man who's been through it all" archetype. While the stories about his glory days can feel a little repetitive (I came in through the XO "carry on" episode), he is already aware and self-conscious about that repetition, which, for me, adds to the feeling of unpainted reality—here's someone who brings us into his struggle to be more human, compassionate, sincere, and entertaining. He has a lot in common with the guys I look to as role models, and can really make an interesting listen from daily rambles. Thanks, Ken!
