National Treasure Taj Mahal

Jontavious Willis deeply respects his musical elders and Mr. Taj Mahal, a living National Treasure of one of America’s most precious heritages, passes on some wisdom in this interview. The living blues tradition is so much more than “three chords and the truth,” as this conversation will testify. Wait for the description of a country supper, with the corn and tomatoes fresh from the garden and the lemon meringue pie with the graham cracker crust. Thank you Mr. J. Willis - - please keep these coming.

Can’t wait!

Hey Jontavious, I’m a big fan of your music! Whenever I’m feeling discouraged in my playing (only been at it for about 6 months) you are one of the people I turn on for some inspiration. I can’t wait to get to know you more through this podcast and learn about the blues along the way!
