Digging up Damien Warren-Smith (actor, comedian, clown)

Digging up Damien Warren-Smith (actor, comedian, clown)

Damien Warren-Smith is my clown crush - a totally fearless, joyful and silly performer who manages to say interesting things while playing beyond the boundaries of what a one man show can be. He's touring his latest show, Garry Starr - Greece Lightning, around Australia then will head to Europe and the UK. We had a chat about life on tour, and I asked him what archaeologists would think of him, if they dug him up a thousand years from now.

You can find Damien on the socials: @garrythestarr or at www.garrystarr.com .

Digging up Ioanna Thymianidis (performance sculptor)

Digging up Ioanna Thymianidis (performance sculptor)

KC and Ioanna chat about rejecting or connecting to your migrant heritage, and how sometimes the process is more meaningful than the outcome (the journey vs the destination, you could say). If you've ever wondered what an archaeologist does when they dig up something and have no idea what it is, KC gives a realtime example when Ioanna pulls out some of her sculptures to show her!

You can find more info about Ioanna at https://ioannathymianidis.com . And KC has a new show announcement at kcmartinstone.com - remember, if you're part of KC's field crew on Patreon, you can access discounted or free tickets to any show that isn't yet sold out.
