This episode of The EYEJ Speaks Podcast gave us the opportunity to speak with Erica DeValve and Mai Moore about their backgrounds and further thoughts on the EYEJ Speaks Facebook live topic of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Erica DeValve, who provided some great points and quotes, graduated from Princeton University and is currently a Graduate student within the Masters of Divinity Program at Fuller Theological Seminary. Mai Moore, who is very familiar to the podcast and always brings something new and poignant to the conversation, is the Founder and Executive Director of EYEJ.
As we picked up from where the EYEJ Speaks Facebook live topic left off, we carried our conversations into a follow up of some quotes that were provided by Erica such as "Intentional steps, intentional actions" and "Being non racist facilitates inaction". Mai gave what I believe to be a quote for all movements to live by, "Action is not important...it's imperative." In addition to these quotes, we took time to address the non racist and anti racist topics that are in the headlines.
We appreciate the time that Erica and Mai took out of their respective days to speak on the podcast. They continue the quality conversations that have been held on The EYEJ Speaks Podcast and add their own special perspectives.
