DJ Maxik - Summer Megamix 2023 (Top Club Hits‪)‬ DJ Maxik - International Club Music

August is here, but I am not declaring the end of summer just yet! So much awesome music came out in 2023. EDM keeps getting bigger and broader, and it's honestly fun to see more folks around the world, and particularly in the US, jam out to dance beats! Whether you are entertaining a social outing, running outside, or jammin' out to this mix in your car - I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful summer!

The mix starts with an intro version of the one and only Perpetuous Dreamer (AvB) ft. Punctual and Alika, rocking the fun and energizing "On & On", followed by one of my favorite reworks of 2023, "Rock My Body" produced by Inna ft. Sash! and R3HAB. For all the dance music connoisseurs, you don't need to think twice - the background / foundation of the track is the classic by Sash! "Ecuador" - one of my favorites growing up. After this track, I took a nostalgic turn and found an awesome remix of Serge Devant's "Addicted" a fantastic prime-time and afterhours club track. Funny story - aside from a famous producer and DJ, Serge was a swimmer, and used to compete on the same HS team as my good friend Sergey from Brooklyn. Another irony behind this track and remix is that Serge and his family are originally from St. Petersburg, same as the rockstar remixer/DJ Kolya Funk on this version of the track, who has been rocking Питер for decades with his punchy club vibe. Moving away from English language to a popular track (not new, but remix is awesome) by Miyagi & Эндшпиль feat. Рем Дигга , song called "I Got Love". Of course, 2023 summer parties require Peggy Gou's work with many great samples, most notably ATB's 9PM guitar reef (I can't tell you how many times I've played that in High School on my Yamaha DJX; with a pitch bend of course!) Going back to the nostalgic theme is a rework of a track that not only sounds awesome but immediately brings back a movie memory of Night at the Roxbury's car dance scene of Will Ferrell & Chris Kattan! Although, this version is a remake by Guetta with Anne Marie and Coi Leray.

After Sak Noel's Loca People it's an even older classic by Global Deejays (remake of 60s The Mamas & The Papas' - San Francisco). I had to turn up the energy a bit after that awesome banger and added Rick Ross x Skrillex' Purple Lamborghini. Sticking to newer tracks, it's DJ Smash and Клава Кока with Пятница. So much to say about the rework, it definitely sounds like ATC's All Around the World, but I know that the true fans recognize the original sample from "Pesenka" by Ruki Vverh! Next track needs no intro, especially today with movie theaters more packed than pre-pandemic! Tiesto timed it right with a club remix of Aqua - Barbie Girl. Continuing the fun Pop remakes and remixes, it's Mosimann's Bananza (remake on Akon). Without a doubt, no song moves a party like Yolanda's Americano!

Switching BPM (because why not)to more trap / moombahton with a remix on a classic Ruki Vverh - Крошка моя. I can't think of many Eastern European Gen Xers or Millennials that don't associate the original with teenage house parties and joys of being young! Next is a remake on a classic Mambo Italiano, but in a cool way by Navai and "Mr. Black Star" Timati. I've added Morgenshtern and another mash-up with DJ Smash, on his famous track Volna.

Ran out of space --
Morgan Page - Dancing All Alone, Culture Beat - Mr. Vain, Matrang Meduza, Sofi Tukker and John Summit - Sun Came Up, Jaim Makeba, Lucas and Steve - After Midnight, Jony & Anna Asti, Max Box - Pachka Sigaret, Amirchik and Mot - Like I Love you, Inna - Don't let the Music Die, Gran Error x Alfie Arcuri - Buona Sera. (sorry ran out of space to add more color)

All tracks are property of the above listed producers and remixers. I had a lot of fun making this mix and promoting awesome track remakes for people to enjoy! All material on this mix is strictly for promotional purposes only; not for sale or resale. All rights are reserved to the arti
