Welcome to the Drive & Dish NBA Podcast, hosted by Kevin Rafuse (@rafusetolose) & Justin Cousart (@JustinContheAir). We started back in 2014 as a way to discuss our favorite league like we would whenever we hung out outside of work. Little did we know two ex-Pennsylvanians who moved to Florida would now be entering our 6th season. Two cities, and a couple of radio jobs later, here we are. We strive to give you the best in everything NBA both on and off the court on a weekly basis and keep it light and fun, the way basketball is supposed to be. Honestly, which league is more fun than the NBA right now? Our goal is to make you feel like you’re sitting on the couch, at the barbershop, or at a barstool with us. We cover the league year-round from opening night in October, all the way through the NBA Finals in June. If that’s not enough, we keep going in the summer for the NBA draft, NBA summer league & free agency. Segments include Who’s Ballin, Who’s Fallin, our NBA version of the stock market where we tell you what’s trending up, and what’s trending down each week. We’ve also got Hot Takes from Reddit, where we bring you the spiciest and most comical takes from NBA Reddit each week. You also will hear the best in NBA guests throughout the season and all summer long. Like we said earlier though, the show is all about fun, because if you’re not having fun, why do something right? You can listen to the podcast on all platforms including iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, PlayerFM & Spotify, as well as watch the podcast on YouTube. Leave us a review on iTunes, and we’ll read it on the show, good or bad!

Gearing Up For NBA Bubble Action

Gearing Up For NBA Bubble Action

Welcome back to another Coronavirus episode of the Drive & Dish NBA podcast. Justin Cousart (@JustinContheAir) is off this week, so Kevin Rafuse (@rafusetolose) is joined by Lakeland Magic play by play announcer Nick Gryniewicz (@GetNickG) and Sam B. Albuquerque (@SamBAlbuquerque), host of the Take a Left at Albuquerque podcast. As scrimmages get underway, the guys talk Zion Williamson leaving the bubble until further notice. If he’s not around, do the Pelicans have a shot at stealing the 8 seed? The trio also discusses Portland finally being healthy, and why they could be dangerous at this time of year. Next, the guys discuss Brooklyn’s roster being devastated by Coronavirus and injuries. Is there anything worth watching with the Nets, and how can they use this time to their advantage. The guys then take a quick break, and discuss Nick planning his wedding during the pandemic, and how comfortable we feel with traveling at this point. Is there still hope for this year? Kevin then puts on his homer hat, and discusses why Ben Simmons moving to the 4 may be the long awaited answer the Sixers have been looking for. Is there enough shooting for them to shake (Milton) up the East? Last but not least, the three take another look at NBA muscle watch, as Mo Bamba has gained some weight. Is there any hope for his long term outlook in Orlando, plus how long should you give prospects before officially calling them a bust? Leave us a review on iTunes and we will read them on the podcast. You also can check out the podcast on Stitcher, TuneIn, Spotify & PlayerFM. Better banter than Enes Kanter

I’ve been listening and interacting with Drive and Dish for about as many podcasts as games Nurkic has missed to injury, so a couple seasons worth.

They provide the perfect distribution of news, opinion segments and quality general banter and have easily been my go to podcast for all long walks, drives and when I do the dishes (bad pun intended).

I hated the day Kev somehow officially and undoubtedly anointed lebron the goat and ignored 2 decades that he was alive in of absolute dominance by one man (if the actual goat is even human), but if hot takes weren’t a thing, sports would be as interesting as high school calculus.

Thanks for the frequent updates and for being the best versions of yourselves. Happy new year and just so they’re mentioned in an episode after they’re irrelevant, go hornets! Devote Graham MIP!

REVIEW 200!!!!!

Long-time listener of the show. I’m a diehard Celtics fan first, though I’m really a fan of all things NBA, on court & off. This podcast strikes the balance between serious stat-driven show, & enjoyable/relatable banter VERY well. The ONLY knock against them—sometimes the banter can go a little long (I’m lookin’ at you, last episode with the actual podcast starting 18 minutes into the recording lolol).

Overall, one of the best NBA podcasts out there. Definitely a must-listen for both the casual fan, & the more devoted fan looking for legitimate NBA talk. #ballin #notfallin
