On this episode, we dive back into our series from J.C. Ryle's outstanding book, "Thoughts for Young Men."
Specifically, we'll be looking at Part 3 where he gives what he calls "general counsels to young men" .... and he talks about 6 things in particular ...
1. Getting a clear view of the evil of sin.
2. Seeking to become acquainted with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
3. Never forgetting that nothing is as important as your soul.
4. Remembering that it is possible to be a young man and yet to serve God whole heartily.
5. To determine as long as you live to make the Bible your constant guide and adviser.
6. To be extremely careful who you choose as close friends.
As I've said before my brothers, these words from J.C. Ryle are gold that will keep you from many painful consequences and open up a world of blessings upon your life, marriage, family, friendships, career, ministry, etc.
