#295 – When Feel Good Faith Dies

What happens to your faith… when life stops feeling good? Let’s be honest… When things are going your way, when life feels good, when everything’s working out— it’s easy to trust God. But when life gets hard— when your world gets shaken— that’s the proving ground. This episode helps you understand the difference between “feel good faith” and real, unshakable faith— The kind of faith that doesn’t depend on circumstances… or feelings. The kind of faith that holds steady in pain, darkness, confusion, and adversity. We look at the life of Job—who lost everything and still said, “Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him.” And the life of Horatio Spafford—who, after unimaginable loss, wrote the great hymn, “It Is Well with My Soul.” Not when life made sense… Not when life felt good… But when everything was falling apart. Two men. Real suffering. Real faith. If you’re walking through a tough season… this will ground you, strengthen you, and motivate you to keep climbing. #294 – Critics in the Bleachers

Over the years, most of us have experienced it… People forming opinions about our lives without ever asking what’s really going on. They hear something. They see something. They assume the rest. And from the safety of the bleachers… they criticize. In this episode of The GRIZ Podcast, we’re talking about: -Why criticism often comes from those who’ve never fought your battles -The difference between spectators and brothers who step into the fight -How Scripture calls us to live “shoulder to shoulder,” not from a distance -How to respond when you’re misunderstood, judged, or criticized -Why real ministry happens in the trenches—not the bleachers If you’ve ever been criticized, misunderstood, or felt alone in your struggle… this episode is for you. – – – Scriptures Referenced: – John 13:34 — Love one another – Galatians 6:2 — Carry each other’s burdens – 1 Thessalonians 5:11 — Encourage one another – James 5:16 — Confess and pray for one another – James 1:19 — Be quick to listen, slow to speak – 1 Peter 2:23 — Christ’s response to criticism https://thegrizpodcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/CriticsBleachers.mp3   – – – Sponsor: This episode of the GRIZ Podcast is sponsored by Stan Crews. The Harsh Reality of P@rn Withdrawal

Many men start the journey of p@rn recovery expecting things to get better immediately. But what they often experience instead is something few people talk about: Withdrawal. When a man stops using p@rn@graphy, the brain and nervous system must recalibrate after years of dopamine spikes and artificial stimulation. During this time, men may experience symptoms like brain fog, anxiety, low motivation, emotional swings, and even physical discomfort. In this episode, Jason explains what p@rn addiction actually does to the brain, why withdrawal happens, and what Christian men can expect during the rebuilding process. More importantly, he shares practical ways to push through the hardest season of recovery so you can come out stronger, healthier, and more aligned with the man God has called you to be. Recovery isn’t easy. But healing is happening in the discomfort. And it’s worth it. #292 – Failure Is Not Fatal

Winston Churchill said it right, “Success isn’t final. Failure isn’t fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.” Failure will visit every man. But the real question is not whether you’ve failed — it’s whether failure finished you… or forged you. In this episode, I speak honestly about failure, pain, setbacks, and the brutal seasons where nothing seems to go your way. I share some powerful truths/motivations that I’ve been telling myself over the past two years as I’ve faced health battles, disappointment, and days where just continuing required everything I had. We look at men like Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Michael Jordan, Thomas Edison, and Peter — men who failed publicly, painfully, and repeatedly — yet refused to quit. In this episode, you’ll learn: -Why great men fail — and why that’s not a weakness -How failure trains you for what God is preparing you to carry -Why consistency separates strong men from defeated men -How to stop dwelling on the past and adopt a “next play mentality” -Why pain, rejection, and hardship are part of becoming who you’re meant to be -How to stay in the arena when everything in you wants to walk away If you’re in a hard season right now… if you’ve stumbled, fallen, or beat up… this episode will remind you that your story isn’t over. The climb continues. #291 – How Men Survive Prison

Some prisons are made of steel. Others are made of suffering. Every man will face a season he cannot escape — illness, loss, loneliness, betrayal, or hardship. The question is not how to escape… but how to endure without losing yourself. In this episode, we examine how men like Viktor Frankl, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Admiral James Stockdale, the Apostle Paul, and John Bunyan survived prison — and even emerged stronger. You’ll learn the key patterns that help men endure hardship, including: Accepting reality fully Narrowing your focus to today Building structure and discipline Connecting with God and others Continuing to grow Finding meaning in suffering Prison strips away illusion. It reveals who you really are. And if you belong to Christ, you are never alone in it. This episode is for any man walking through suffering — and determined to come out stronger. #290 – Saved… But Still Stuck?

You love Jesus. You believe the gospel. You know you’re saved. So why do you still feel stuck? In this episode, I walk through the powerful story of Lazarus in John 11–12 — not just as a miracle story, but as a mirror. A mirror of what Christ has done for us… And why so many Christian men are still tangled up in “grave clothes” long after being raised to new life. We talk about: What it really means that we were spiritually dead How Jesus loves us even in our worst condition Why resurrection happens on God’s timing, not ours The power of Christ’s Word to bring dead men to life Why being saved doesn’t mean you’re instantly untangled The role of brotherhood in removing “grave clothes” What real repentance looks like Why your transformation points others to Jesus And why this is ultimately about God’s glory, not ours If you’ve ever thought: “Why do I still struggle with this?” “Why do I still feel bound?” “Why can’t I fully break free?” This episode is for you. You may be out of the tomb. But are you still wearing grave clothes? Let’s deal with it. https://thegrizpodcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/LazarusFinalCut.mp3 – – – Resources and Links: Covenant Eyes – Accountability software for all your devices Website: covenanteyes.com Use code: grizzin for a free 30-day trial Support Our Nonprofit Ministry – Narrowtrail Ministries Website: https://narrowtrail.com/give Or text “give” to 301-888-6860 Climb Teams – Online addiction recovery and discipleship groups for Christian men Learn more and apply: https://narrowtrail.com/climb-teams GRIZ Tribe (Closed Facebook Group) For Christian men who listen to the podcast and want online brotherhood and encouragement. https://facebook.com/groups/griztribe Connect with Jason … Email: Jason@narrowtrail.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thegrizpodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/griz_jasongeorge/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jason-george-6a746729/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@grizpodcast – – – Outro voiceover music: By Pavel Front Popov Royalty Free by Frontmusic and AudioJungle

    #289 – A Man Alone With God

In this episode, I talk honestly about why time alone with God isn’t optional—it’s essential. We live in the noisiest generation in history, and most men are spiritually dry or exhausted because we never slow down long enough to sit quietly with God. Community matters. Accountability matters. Brotherhood matters. But real transformation starts in the secret place. I share from my own life what it looks like to abide in Christ in a distracted world, and why everything in our spiritual lives flows from time alone with Him. I also tell the powerful true story of George Müller and how his daily time alone with God shaped both his life and his ministry. If your soul feels tired, scattered, or dry, this episode is a wake-up call. Brother—put the phone on Do Not Disturb, get alone with God, and let Him do the deep work. Keep climbing.
