Beyond the Flannelgraph | Mountaintops & Valleys of Doubt

The day-to-day Christian life is not a mountaintop experience. Life is messy and circumstances can cause us to doubt God. When doubt attacks our faith we need to keep pressing into the Lord.
In this episode Brody walks through the transfiguration of Jesus, the chaos that meets them when they get off the mountain, and how we should fight doubt. Listen as we consider 5 facets of God’s revelation that confirm Jesus’ glory.

Let’s submit our doubt to the Lord and let it grow us closer to Christ.

Beyond the Flannelgraph | Demas, Drifting, & How to Stay Faithful pt. 2

Sin is deceptive and deceitful. It can cause us to turn away from the Lord.
In this episode, Brody continues his conversation about Demas and walks through 7 things we must guard against to remain faithful to the end. Demas traded faithfulness to the Lord for a love of the world. Do not forsake the Gospel for what the world offers.
Let’s hold fast, live with a conviction of the Holy Spirit, and stay faithful.

Beyond the Flannelgraph | Demas, Drifting, & How to Stay Faithful

How do we live faithfully for the Lord and prevent drifting away?
In this episode, Brody discusses the life of Demas, why people tend to drift away, and how we can stay faithful. Demas was once a co-laborer with Paul on the mission field, but abandoned Paul when he was needed most.
Scripture tells us Demas thought the world offered him something greater than what the Lord provided. People are often influenced by the latest movement or ideology, but these movements don’t last.
However, the Gospel is unchanging. It is eternal and outlasts cultural movements. Let’s hold fast to Jesus and pursue him faithfully.

14 Lessons From Paul in the Book of Acts

14 Lessons From Paul in the Book of Acts

What does the resurrection of Jesus mean for our lives?
As we just celebrated Resurrection Sunday, Brody focused on the life of Paul in the book of Acts by walking through 14 lessons Paul teaches us.
Paul points again and again to the living hope we have through the resurrected Jesus. We are called to live lives worthy of our Savior, who is eternal in his existence and grace. Paul showed us what it looks like to preach unapologetically and with authority that is from the Lord.
Let’s live lives for the Gospel. We hope this episode leaves you encouraged and renewed in your resolve to walk with Jesus.

Beyond the Flannelgraph | God's Grace is Greater Than Your Failures

Beyond the Flannelgraph | God's Grace is Greater Than Your Failures

Have you ever lived in shame and guilt over a mistake you made?
Scripture tells us that those who are in Christ are no longer condemned but set free from our sins. In this episode, Brody walks through 8 truths we can learn from Isaac and Rebecca’s mistake-filled lives. God chose to preserve and protect this family regardless of Isaac’s mistakes.

You are going to make mistakes throughout your life. But the trajectory of our lives should be one of faithfulness and obedience to the Lord. God is greater than our ability to mess things up. Isaac became a testimony and witness to the Lord’s grace.

Let’s learn from the life of Isaac and rest in the grace and freedom of the Lord.

What Makes a Biblical Pastor pt. 2

What Makes a Biblical Pastor pt. 2

A faithful pastor and shepherd is going to be obedient to the call of God.
In this episode, Brody continues his conversation on what makes a Biblical pastor, by walking through 1 Peter 5, where Peter offers wisdom to help pastors shepherd well.

Jesus is the Chief Shepherd. Pastors are under-shepherds because the sheep belong to the Lord. Being a pastor requires labor and hard work. Let’s love one another well, pray for our leaders, and serve in our local churches.

Sgt. K Morris ,

Thank you for being a part of my walk with Jesus

Snowbird has become something I look forward to. Be Strong, iron on iron, and the marriage conference are great. I have never heard anyone preach/teach there that I didn’t enjoy. I love the NSR, SWO ,and Red Oak podcast in between my visits. I know I am going to hear biblical based sermons and lessons when I am there and on the podcast. I love my home church and the people in it but Snowbird gives me that something extra I need. Anytime I am there is a charge in my walk with Christ whether I realize I need it or not. Thank you to Snowbird and all the people who make it what it is. God bless each of you.

SWO

I appreciate each podcast I am able to listen to, but I just want to say I am one of those people who love the redemption stories. Thanks for sharing, you bring glory to God by telling his work in your life!

Typical pro-life, homophobic dude parading around talking about Jesus

As if he has a novel or new approach to indoctrination of young people. Only stumbled upon this dude after learning about SWO from my daughter.
And why do Christian men like this love to talk about Freud and porn? Lol
