TGB - Ep. 15 - NEW SERIES! "Superman Isn't Coming, Save Yourself" S1/1 The Gentlewoman Boss Podcast

    • Society & Culture

This episode launches a new series on The Gentlewoman Boss Podcast entitled: "Superman Isn't Coming, Save Yourself".
The content in this series is based around a survey our Founder, Michelle Horlbogen, conducted in the spring of 2021 about how prepared (or not) high school and college graduates felt to enter the workplace and deal with a potential toxic culture or workplace bullying.
In episode one, Michelle shares a breakdown of the survey itself and the data it revealed. She also discusses the importance of a proactive approach to handling workplace conflict rather than a reactive one, and that the way to do that is to educate students about their employee rights, employment law and how it pertains to them, what workplace bullying is and clear examples of how to identify it, and the "true" role of HR in the workplace; but all of this BEFORE they go out into the workforce.
