Ep 37: Who Do You Listen To‪?‬ Transformational

    • Religion & Spirituality

Welcome to the transformational podcast. A conversation between brothers about practical ways faith is impacting our lives. We invite you to join us on this journey as we are learning to let faith transform the way we live. Romans 12:2
This week we pickup where we left off when we talked about King Solomon, and discussed his son Rehoboam. After the death of King Solomon, his son Rehoboam stepped into power and listened to bad advice. In fact, Rehoboam had good advice from his father's advisors, but he rejected the advice of the older generation for the advice of his friends. This proved to be the end of his kingdom. This was declared by God, but his rejection of good advice should be a lesson for everyone.
The question is, who have you given permission to speak into your life? Do you build relationships with people who are ahead of you? Proverbs 13:20 says, "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm." Practically, we should find someone who can tell us to take a step back. Someone that makes time for us as we make time for them and that we stop to listen to.
