Not many people expected this. The Colorado Avalanche beat the Winnipeg Jets in their first round series in five games, winning four in a row after dropping game one. In a series many thought was a dead ringer for seven games, the Avalanche played almost perfect hockey in all aspects of the game. Now they get some rest and await their round two opponent between the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights.

The Colorado Avalanche used a five goal 3rd period to run away from the Winnipeg Jets in Game 3 of their first round series, 6-2. The Avs now hold a 2-1 series lead and look to take a commanding 3-1 lead on Sunday in Denver.

The Avalanche have continued to beat Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck and their lead leading defense has yet to find a way to stop the potent Avalanche offense. Can it continue in Game 4?
