Today I have a conversation with Janine about Trauma, and boy did I learn a lot both about myself and how I view & process trauma and how our society views & processes trauma. Janine shares a bit of her journey after surviving a hijacking, kidnapping and attempted rape at gunpoint at age 18. Janine shares her story with such rawness & underscores the vulnerability it takes to share ones story, but the healing process that can occur once you do.
A bit more about Janine: Janine aka "the trauma whisperer" is an internationally recognised trauma expert, licensed psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist and coach specialising in helping women heal from unresolved trauma and emotional baggage without spending years in therapy.
She speaks about her own healing journey after surviving a hijacking, kidnapping and attempted rape at gunpoint at age 18.
Her mission is to help women make the connection between emotional baggage and how it shows up later in life through symptoms like binge eating, self-sabotage, procrastination etc and affects our romantic relationships, how we parent and even how we show up in our careers.
She resides in Germany with her husband and 3 children.
