The Mutant Hands Illustration Insights Podcast is an ideal listen if you are starting out in the creative industry, thinking about freelancing or already up and running in the freelance world.

Mutant Hands are a husband and wife creative team who combine their illustration and animation skills. Made up of illustrator Jing Zhang & animator James Wignall, Mutant Hands know all about how to balance work and life whilst also making sure the get the most out of the work they create.
Having been based in London, Jing and James now lives in the beautiful Harrogate in Yorkshire after spending their working careers being based in London. As part of that transition Jing and James touch on their passion for remote working, and not having to be based in the 'big city' to achieve the life they want.
Additionally, Jing talks about not being ashamed of focussing on the commercial work whilst building your business. And James, talks about the importance of craft.

The illustration insights podcast is a series which shares insights from some of the best illustration talent on the planet. We ask the questions that we all want to know, like 'Why did you get involved in illustration in the first place? How do you win work? How do you keep that work coming in?".
This episode being a special edition having being recorded at the Illustration Block Party event, is the first in a series of Block Parties which will be taking place in Manchester in the UK.
