Tishaura Jones has been Treasurer of the City of St. Louis since 2012 and served two terms as a Missouri State Representative before that. She has been a glass ceiling breaker in many respects, including the major milestones of being the first African American woman to serve as Treasurer for the City of St. Louis and the first African American woman to hold the position of Assistant Minority Floor Leader while serving as a state rep.
