Episode 168: Danni Eickenhorst | Fountain on Locust Meet St. Louis
-
- Society & Culture
Danni Eickenhorst loves a good story and she’s been helping share stories all around St. Louis for years in PR and marketing. But it wasn’t until her good friend Steve Ewing asked her to help him craft a press release announcing the closure of beloved Steve’s Hot Dogs back in 2019 that her story started to change. She decided to help him keep the place open and as partners they not only reopened but have since expanded and grown.
Now her and her husband are continuing to add to the chapters of their story with the Fountain on Locust. The popular restaurant located in Midtown opened in 2008 but Joy Grdnic, the longtime owner, was looking to retire. That’s where Danni once again stepped in, hoping to carry on the magic of the spot known for its ice cream martinis. From collaboration, to improving St. Louis, to the memories of a favorite restaurant, we talk about it all in this week’s episode.
