Episode 4: Open Studios Evanston's Lisa Degliantoni The Christine Wolf Podcast

    • Society & Culture

Lisa Degliantoni created Open Studios Evanston, a citywide celebration of the arts, to take place from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 6. In this episode of The Christine Wolf Podcast, Degliantoni and commercial photographer Chris Bradley discuss their passion for the Evanston art community and how they both stretched their career boundaries to make an event like this come to life.

Now in its second year, the program now known as Open Studios Evanston features more than 100 artists like Heather Hancock, as well as 25 venues and live art events.

Degliantoni describes Open Studios Evanston as "a self-guided tour through several mediums of art," concluding with an alley art party from 5-9 p.m. at Bookends & Beginnings. A public viewing party and artists' reception is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at Evanston's Noyes Cultural Arts Center.

This episode was recorded in an incredible room generously donated by The Studios at SPACE. With its wide array of vintage and premium gear, The Studios at SPACE may be the perfect setting for your next recording project.  Tucked away behind SPACE’s bustling live concert venue, the studios offer a uniquely inspiring environment for tracking, production, and mixing.  Please contact eric@evanstonspace.com to discuss your next project.
