In honor of Women's Health Month this May, we were thrilled to sit down with Dr. Stephanie Sansone of Hackensack Meridian Health. Listen in as we discuss pelvic and urogynecological health.
Stephanie A. Sansone, M.D., is a fellowship-trained obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based practices in all aspects of treatment for pelvic floor disorders. Beyond conservative management and in-office procedures for conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and overactive bladder, she is experienced in robotic, abdominal, and vaginal reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Sansone is thrilled to be practicing in New Jersey, where she grew up, to provide patient-centered care for her local community. Following her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, she attended medical school at Weill Cornell. During her residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, she was inspired by how urogynecology improves her patients’ quality of life. She is a graduate of the Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine.
Dr. Sansone has presented at national meetings and written several publications within her field, receiving both research and teaching/mentorship awards for her work.. She is an affiliated member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG).
