Episode 52: Taking Your Power Back: A New Way to Do Cancer with Carrie Kielty and Kelly Korcek Becoming Heart Strong

    • Self-Improvement

At 41, Carrie Kielty was diagnosed with Stage Four Ovarian Cancer. The five-year survival rate for stage four ovarian cancer is a dismal 31%.  After looking honestly at her prognosis, Carrie decided to see what else might be available to her besides traditional chemotherapy treatment. She is over six years post-diagnosis, and today, she shares her journey and practices that have helped her keep her cancer at bay and also ones for anyone who wants to live a healthy life to consider. While Carrie has used treatments like lower dose chemo, IV vitamins, supplements, sauna, juicing, hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatment, and more, she explains that her approach is not solely physical but mental,  emotional, and spiritual too.

Kelly Korcek is Carrie’s friend and an oncology nurse, and after witnessing Carrie’s approach, she started thinking differently about her approach to her patients and to her own health. Today, they are teaming up to write a book to help others take their power back and consider other ways to approach cancer. This story is truly inspiring and eye-opening for anyone who wants to live a healthy and full life free from disease.
