Chewie, Mike, Brian, and Dirk have been talking about Magic: The Gathering on the internet for almost 10 years (at the time of this writing). Since there are so many shows about strategy and tournaments, these dorks focus on all the fun you can have with the game outside of that, from flavor to philosophy to game design to history to whatever else we can come up with. We're funny, we're serious about what we do, and we love it!

Recent Media Consumption - Dorks Just Chatting
The dorks get together to do a Just Chatting episode! This time we end up discussing mainly, as the title might indicate, media we've been consuming recently. Chewie goes off on the Cane and Rinse Podcast and Doom Eternal, Brian hits X-Men '97 and The Three Body Problem, Dirks talks the Fallout show, and Mike goes back to Dune 2, which he forgot we already talked about. Other things that come up: the new Avatar live-action show, massively famous self-help books, The DaVinci Code, conspiracy theories, an NES emulator on iOS, mobile gaming in general, and how Blizzard failed us all across several games. It was fun.

The dorks return with a random assortment of of nonsense! We begin by making fun of two accents, then introduce ourselves and our hair. After that Chewie makes the big Cheevos For Charity announcement (more on that below). Then we go into a lengthy conversation about other card games we've played throughout the years. That leads into a discussion about power creep in long-running games. Then it's briefly talking about new consoles and nerding out about Dune.

Episode 697 - No, Not Fallout Boy!
Remember Fallout? You know, the video game series with radiation and Nuka-Cola and Ron Perlman's voice and power armor and Vault Boy? That game series that hasn't had a good game release in almost a decade? Sure you do! And of course, Magic is releasing some Commander Decks for it under the Universes Beyond label!
The dorks are diving into the first batch of reveals from the Fallout decks and focusing, as we do with these UB sets, on how the cards relate back to the source material. Since two of us have lots of experience with the IP, we're gonna be explaining things to the other two. This was a fun one! Be sure to let us know what you think, and how much Fallout you've played!

Episode 696 - Digging for Clues
The dorks take a look at the Ravnica: Clue Edition Evidence cards, meaning the suspects, weapons, and rooms that come from the board game Clue. After that we're taking a look at the Murders at Karlov Manor Commander deck commanders. Then we go back to doing our usual thing where we bounce around and look at whatever catches our eye or whatever Twitch chat directs us to.

Great, but keep the politics out...
I have recently returned to mtg, and started listening to the last couple months of your podcast. You guys do a great job, but politics were brought up a couple of times in the first few episodes I listened to. Politics in a podcast about gaming is the FIRST thing that will make me turn a show off. Your MTG content is great when it is about MTG. So please keep it to just that. If you guys do I will continue to listen to you. But the next time I hear politics get brought into an entertainment show I will turn it off, and unsubscribe. Keep up the great work guys.
