Episode 62: A Post-Lord of the Rings Podcast Movies N Sh*t

They’re back and forever changed! You might be asking yourselves: in a world where Kelly has finally seen and acknowledged the greatness of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, what’s left…what else is there…why even go on?  Well, there will always be more movies to see, and that’s enough for this pair of movie-watching podcasters.  Today’s episode kicks off with a well-deserved tribute to Harrison Ford, a short discussion about racing cars and other sh*t before your regularly scheduled Movies We’ve Seen since last time (12:01), TV Talk (1:15:51), and Entertainment News/Upcoming Trailers and Stuff (1:29:18).  Patrick shines again in the latest installment of What Year Did That Come Out Again? (1:54:40) before a special Most Recent Editions to Kelly’s LaserDisc Collection installment of Guess That Rotten Tomato Score (1:57:13).  And to close the episode out, Kelly and Patrick provide a couple of Hidden Gem recommendations for your viewing pleasure (2:00:00).  Episode highlights include the first-ever installment of Tom Folsom’s Bad Casting, a brief discussion about the art of acting, Oscar nominations, the incredible run of movies that closed out 2023, the latest from and about Tom Cruise, an obligatory conversation about Star Wars, and the absurd but apparently very popular continuing trend - spiders in space.
