Episode 69: Leadership, InCourage 2020, Trauma, and More with Musician Olivia Pothoff Living Wholehearted Podcast With Jeff and Terra

    • Parenting

When we planned InCourage 2020 (now called @courageousgathering) for March 13 & 14, little did we know what would lie ahead in 2020. On the eve of our rehearsal, the Oregon govenor said that groups could no longer gather in the state of Oregon due to the beginnings of what we would come to call - a global pandemic. Though women were flying in from around the country, we had everything in place for a powerful weekend of biblical, clinical, and relational wisdom with worship from artists like @joi.hailey and @oliviapothoff, keynote speakers like Living Wholehearted co-founder, @terramattson and Katherine Wolf of @hopeheals. Over 40 breakout speakers were ready to serve and then….everything came to a screeching halt. No live conference. Now what?

After a year, Terra and Olivia Pothoff come together to unpack what they both learned through the experiential lessons only learned through such a pivot. Now a virtual conference packaged for any small group or church to experience, the Courageous Gathering was meant to be a place where women could face the reality of how we suffer well. Little did Terra know that the ENTIRE conference would teach her and all those who were behind the scene how to truly trust God regardless of the outcomes. Olivia shares about her new found relationship with Joi and all the ways she has seen God’s hand in the outfall of that weekend. Listen in for a real, raw, and honest conversation from two leaders who love God and love women.

Olivia Pofhoff is not only a dear friend of Terra’s, but also a powerful  singer, songwriter, and worship leader at @journeychurch. She has spent the past 15 years sharing music as a meaningful way to communicate the care and love of God. She is happily married to her husband, Mark and has three courageous girls. You can find Olivia’s music on Spotify, amazon, and youtube.
