    Ep5: If you skipped Valentine’s Day…

    Ep5: If you skipped Valentine’s Day…

If you skipped Valentine’s Day… you really can’t be blamed.

Join Kate in Episode 5 as she talks about Valentine’s Day and why she hates it, how she got there, and as she goes on too long about flowers.

Relationship or not, flowers don’t matter. Gifts don’t matter. None of it matters. All that matters is that you spend time or send love to people you care about. A card to a friend across the country. A piece of chocolate for your roommate. A phone call with your mom. Who are the people in your life that keep you from drowning when life is overwhelming? Those are the ones that you should make sure you’re letting you know love and care about them on Valentine’s Day. For free or for cheap.

Okay, I’m done, and I’m not bitter. For real. I promise. Don’t forget to leave me a voicemail on the ThreadHead Media voicemail box at 213-267-2057. We are for real going to start posting stories soon, and I’m psyched. Tell me about your biggest Valentine’s Day fail, or win (because we’re positive people at this podcast), or let me know how you show your friends and loved ones how you love and appreciate them every day of the year. Let me know your favorite flower! I don’t have one, but I do think roses are overrated - have never said no to them though.

Anyway - rate, review and subscribe. I’ll talk to you soon.

And if you’re just trying to survive right now? Good luck.

E4: If You Make Someone a Friend...

E4: If You Make Someone a Friend...

If you make someone a friend, can you keep it that way or is it destined to implode?

Join Kate in Episode 4 as she talks about men, women, and their friendships - or lack thereof. Is it possible for two people to just stay friends?

Can two people stay platonic friends?:

Yes, I believe two people can be friends and not have it morph into something more.
But Kate, what if one person catches feelings?
And now you probably want a story, I’ve got a good one. For anonymity, we’re going to call him… Chase.

Now, the content of this episode seems to, ironically, have blurred a little into, you guessed it, the dreaded “Friendzone” conversation. I think that might be the next episode. Because I have some THOUGHTS on that one - and the sense of entitlement that comes with it.

Do you have anything on a friendship that you’d like to share? Leave me a voicemail on ThreadHead Media voicemail box at 213-267-2057. I can’t be the only one with stories of when someone (was it you?) tried to blur that line and how it turned out. We’re going to start adding these into our episodes soon. I can’t wait to hear from you!

Ep. 3: If You Think it's Cool to Ghost...

Ep. 3: If You Think it's Cool to Ghost...

If you think it’s cool to ghost, then you’re rude. Stop.

Join Kate in Episode 3 as she talks about ghosting. Why we do, why it’s the worst and tells her story of being stood up and ghosted for months.

Hey, everyone. Welcome to the third episode of Eww! Gross! This is Why I’m Not Dating - Featuring: Ghosting. Why we do it, and why it makes us terrible people. Usually.

My original plan for this episode was to talk about dating while being un- or under-employed, but I changed my mind. It’s my podcast, and I’m allowed to do that.

2020. Fingers crossed this is the year that ghosting dies, not just in dating culture, but everywhere. It’s time to get polite. And, politely, I’d love it if you’d leave a review on whatever platform you’re listening on. And don’t forget to leave me a voicemail on ThreadHead Media voicemail box at 213-267-2057. That’s 213-267-2057. Tell me your stories of being ghosted, or, if you’re really feeling brave, who you’ve ghosted, why you did it, and how you felt.

So… with that - rate, review, subscribe and send some feedback. I’ll talk to you next week.

And until ghosting is a thing of the past? Good luck.

Ep. 2: If You Send a Girl to Paris...

Ep. 2: If You Send a Girl to Paris...

If you send a girl to Paris, then she’ll probably eat a lot of bread and learn a lot of things.

Join Kate in Episode 2 as she takes a look back at her trip to Paris: what she learned, how it’s applicable to a little bit to dating, but mostly to life.

Welcome to the second episode of Eww! Gross! This is Why I’m Not Dating - Featuring: What Kate Learned in Paris and How that Applies to Her Life - Both Dating and Life in General.

Sorry I’ve been out of the office for a bit, so soon after launching, my bad. But I found a cheap flight to Paris a few months ago and it would’ve been a crime not to go. This was my third time out of the country and my first time traveling alone. You can imagine my stress - but I survived and I learned some things along the way.

So without further ado, the Things I Learned in Paris:

Try things, even when they’re scary.
    Eat the bread
Be smart with your money, but spend on what you’ll enjoy
Do that stupid thing that will bring you happiness
    Put on lipstick
If all else fails, just smile and nod

Leave a review on whatever platform you’re listening to. And don’t forget to leave me a voicemail on ThreadHead Media voicemail box at 213-267-2057.  I would really like to hear the lessons you’ve learned traveling or maybe just some stories from these past few weeks or your new year resolutions, or maybe just how you think resolutions are stupid and how you rock already - all about that positive energy.

So… with that - review, subscribe and send some feedback. I’ll talk to you next week.

And until I find a real catchphrase? Good luck.

Ep. 1.5: If You Get to the Bar Early...

Ep. 1.5: If You Get to the Bar Early...

... Try to only have one or two drinks before your date.

Instead of starting off on the wrong foot, promising a weekly podcast, and then going out of the country for a week and not delivering... here's a little something to tide you over.

Remember that guy from the first episode? The one that described himself as a drunk? This is THAT story - didn't turn out so great for him.

Ep. 1: If You Vape in Rome...

If you vape in Rome, then you're automatically not a contender.

Join Kate in Episode 1 as she takes a look back: coming up with her list of dealbreakers and the reasoning behind them.

Then, stay tuned as she reviews a common list of dealbreakers, doubtful that they'll be the same as hers.

To be featured on the show, call (213) 227-2057 and leave a voicemail if you're searching for relationship advice, tips, tricks, or you just have a story you want to share.

In need of help

I found this show srcolling in the depthf of Apple because I decided it was time to get back into the dating scene. Believe it or not, my date and I laughed listening to this show together and it helped us break the ice.
Thanks to this show, I got a second date and my date Anna will now listen every time we get a new one as tradition.

Fun listen

I’m not single, but I enjoyed this podcast. I typically don’t enjoy female voices, but Kate is very easy and enjoyable to listen to. Her sense of humor is fun, and I found myself laughing out loud at some parts. It was a fun listen on my way to work. Try it out!
