2 for 3

Please, please with Lupe always interrupting, parroting, and didn’t sound as professional as the two others. She ruined a podcast I was looking forward to hearing.

Lacking knowledge and insight

First, the hosts seem surprised that a doctor is depicted carrying a firearm in a hospital. I don’t know where they’re from, but that is not uncommon in parts of the US. I had the privilege of working at a midsized hospital in the southeast over 20 years ago and even the lab techs were “packing” on 2nd shift - especially during full moons and holidays. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong to do so, just that it happens.
I was looking forward to an insightful discussion, but these 3 don’t seem very knowledgeable about their topic, especially in regards to the culture of the geographic region in which the events took place.
Second, the hosts are criticizing the efforts of the medical personnel caring for patients. They seemed to be under the impression that the doctors and nurses didn’t care enough. That is the complete opposite of what I saw depicted. I wish the hosts could be put into the same circumstances and experience the brutality of conditions combined with lack of sleep and adequate supplies, and see what level of care they’d be able to provide.
In summary, watch the show but don’t listen to this podcast.

Need better hosts

As a New Orleanian, it’s really annoying to hear East and West coasters talk about Katrina as if it’s somehow part of their trauma. Shut up. You have no idea what you’re talking about. Please get hosts who are actually from the gulf coast region who know what they’re talking about when discussing what happened to us.
