The result means that Chiefs’ winless streak has now stretched to eight matches, with their last victory having been their 3-0 victory over struggling TTM FC on January 18th. Amakhosi’s fans have expressed concern over their sides’ ability to manage the continental competition alongside their DStv Premiership campaign.

It has been six games since Amakhosi managed to secure all three points, in what some would say is a very worrying season. ‘The Glamour Boys sit ninth on the DStv Premiership table, 17 points off log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and 9 points away from their Soweto rivals, Orlando Pirates. One fan has said that “I think we have run out of luck.” Amakhosi fans are still trying to figure out what seems to be the reason for their team's struggles this season.

After yet another disappointing performance, Kaizer Chiefs squandered more points in their loss to AmaZulu FC. Mistakes from Khune and the back four saw Amakhosi go down 2-1. Samir Nurković scoring woes continued as he failed to convert the few opportunities he was handed. “He hasn’t scored now in how many games? It’s a bit disturbing” said Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt in the post-match interview.

Kaizer Chiefs were left disappointed this past weekend as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of their Soweto neighbours Orlando Pirates. amakhosi were hoping to seek revenge after their mtn8 humiliation at the hands of the Buccaneers which saw them lose 5-0 over two legs. Unfortunately, despite having an array of chances to score, the ‘Glamour Boys’ were only able to manage an 85th minute consolation goal even though they had the lion's share of opportunities to score in the match.
Chiefs fans were left disappointed by their team's display again as bragging rights were owned by Pirates. One Amakhosi fun is quoted as asking "How long have we been crying" when discussing Amakhosi’s struggles that this season which have not been helped by the fact that coach Gavin Hunt is unable to strengthen his squad in the current transfer window due to the team's FIFA transfer ban which means that they will only be able to sign new players in the next transfer window after the current season has concluded.
