I stumbled onto this podcast thanks to Podcast: The Magazine; Your Source for Podcasts, but they were correct. It should be labeled a pod-blast, which is a pun about the word podcast and how fun this particular one is, not anything to do with explosions, unless you count laughter, which I do not. Anyway, low and behold, the cohost is the legendary Pete Charbonneau, from the previous ‘cast, The Bobcast, winner of three Pod Emmy’s and one Rogie Award, handed out annually by Joe Rogan from The Joe Rogan show. Anyway, keep up the good ‘casting, gents. I look forward to submitting the show for this year’s Rogies!!!

A fun, colloquial, and regularly updated podcast that celebrates pop culture, fandom, and nostalgia from the 80s onward. Hosts Bernie and Pete are amiable with good rapport with their guests who come from a variety of backgrounds: filmmakers, editors, authors, academics, and so on. Episodes straddle different formats to keep things fresh and interesting: sometimes its top 10 lists, sometimes it is deep dives into a specific movie or show, sometimes its broader with high level discussions. A fun podcast to hear different perspectives and personal stories about pop culture old and new.

Bernie is an excellent interviewer and he does an amazing amount of research for each podcast; a really good listen!
