Jesus tells us that our Father in heaven desires to give us good gifts that we need to live for his glory.

Text: Matthew 7:1-6

Jesus, the one true judge, warns us of being judgemental towards others and commands us to inspect our hearts and deal with our own sins. Jesus desires us to proclaim what is true from a holy and gentle heart.

Psalm 8 is about the greatest show we know in the heavens and on earth with the most majestic name in all the earth and a guest of honor that appears in the middle of the show. 

God’s Mercy frees us from the temptation of trusting in ourselves to praise him for who he is.

We rightly study the Bible because God, through the Spirit-inspired Bible, has revealed Himself to us, proclaimed the glorious salvation He offers to sinners, and has shown us how His redeemed people are to live for Him.

God’s Word and Prayer go hand in hand. When we pray, we should pray from the Words of Scripture, speaking to our Father who has first spoken to us.
