A Pirates Life for Me
I can honestly say every time I rewatch the show I have to listen to these again after each episode. Goes together like Walking Dead and Talking Dead. Once in a blue moon they accidentally throw a spoiler out by accident but they even say in the very first episode that this is more for rewatches. Love you guys!
Best Black Sails Podcast!
I really enjoy this podcast because it is so insightful, organized, and a great companion to watching the show. Every time I rewatched an episode, I would come back to listen to the correlating episode. I also am very pleased with the amount of actor and crew interviews they got (still sad they never interviewed Clara Paget!). My only critique is that when the hosts have an interviewee, they have the tendency to frequently talk over and interrupt the person and it can be quite frustrating to listen too. I want to listen to the person answer questions, not the host asking a question than constantly interrupting the answer. However, I don’t find it takes away too much from the show overall so I give it a 5/5 still!
Ok yes it’s good but it’s not spoiler-free
Love this podcast because I’m currently obsessed with black sails and everything related to it.
It just drives me nuts that the 2 hosts pick and choose what they determine to be “spoiler-y” or not. I wish they’d just accept that they’re going to let spoilers slip and not try and pretend like it’s a spoiler-free podcast.
Yes, I realize Treasure Island is hundreds of years old but this isn’t the “Treasure Island” show, it’s a show of its own making. The characters and plot make developments separate from the original TI story. Therefore the hosts are spoiling the show when they mention aspects similar to the book, because the book and tv show do not share a plot line/character arcs.
Luckily this show didn’t ruin anything for me because I’m impatient and already googled all the characters wiki pages. But be warned, if you’re in the middle of your first watch through and don’t want to know any future happenings, AVOID THIS PODCAST UNTIL YOU FINISH S3
