Fearless and Free was birthed during the Covid-19 season of lockdowns and loss, when so much of the world was experiencing dysfunction. The focus of news and conversation was on illness instead of wellness. Dana was living in London in lockdown. Laura in Houston. Together they experienced the world’s heart wounds being exposed and on display. Even in the church, people were giving their wounds a voice. Having experienced inner healing themselves they knew there was more to share.

Thats the good news! We don’t have to stay bound to those places of fear and loss. As an inner healing minister, author and Biblical teacher, Dana is passionate to empower others to overcome obstacles in their own hearts and relationships to bring freedom and healing. This is not behavior modification but healing from the heart that brings wholeness and restores alignment with your true purpose in Christ.

In this new season at Fearless and Free, we seek to empower you as an integral part of the body of Christ to move into the next level of power and authority, using your voice to bring healing and hope to your sphere of influence.

In the last episode, we had a special guest expert, Molly McNamara, who is here to discuss Healing the Heart of the Church in the area of suicide awareness and prevention. If you missed that episode, you will want to go back and listen.  Molly shared valuable information about how to walk alongside those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Today, we have another important conversation about how to walk alongside a young person who is struggling with suicidal thoughts and wants to turn away from life.

Before I introduce her, I want to let you know

What you can expect in this episode:

We will discuss how to recognize invitations that a young person is giving to identify they are withdrawing from life.
We will learn how young people can respond to help their friends.
We will empower parents with practical tools and resources to help their young person walk towards life.

If you or someone you love has been touched by suicide, help is available.  We will share contact information at the end of the episode and in the show notes for ministries and medical professionals who can help.

That said, let's bring in our special guest.  In case you missed the last episode, Molly McNamara MHA, NE-BC, is the founder and Executive Director of His Whole House. She holds credentials as an ordained/licensed minister, nurse, certified grief & bereavement counselor, and trauma practitioner. Alongside a team of trained prayer therapists, she draws from advanced trauma concepts and science in conjunction with biblical principles in the work of Prayer Ministry.

The Lord is near to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalms 34: 18

The gift of presence is one of the most important and healing gifts you can give to those who are grieving. Where you do not make space to grieve and support one another, where you skim over pain with denial and Christian quotes, you will have trauma buried that will impact you in the future.

If we are seeking a move of God we have to prepare our hearts to receive it and carry the weighty responsibility.  Now is the time for healing the heart of the church, to find healing and wholeness for our own heart, and move forward fearless and free, to be all He has created us to be.

    Who Would Jesus Vote For? - Pt.2 - S2 - Ep.5

    Who Would Jesus Vote For? - Pt.2 - S2 - Ep.5

Welcome to a new season of  Fearless and Free podcast, where we take a holistic, spirit-soul-body approach to healing and wholeness. I am your host Dana Grindal, prayer minister and founder of Whitestone Ministries International. You have found a safe place to connect with the body of Christ, where we challenge Christians to experience the abundant life of Christ, fearless and free.

Within the Church politics continue to divide. In episode 4, I  asked the question -If Jesus was physically present in America today, what would He say about Politics? Who would He say to vote for? What would He say to you?

Stay tuned here for part 2 as we take a Biblical look at Healing the Heart of the Church in the area of politics …seeking to answer the questions-

    How should the Church respond?

Can the right person in government really change hearts?

    What is your part?

In the previous episode, we discussed the difference between politics and government. Govt is established by God and to be honored.  Politics is man's way of applying government for control, power or leadership of specific groups or persons, sometimes good and sometimes bad.  It is a heart issue.

We have to guard our hearts, especially from fear.  Fear is destructive and divisive. Fear tempts us to want to control, clouds our judgment, and pulls our hearts away from the love of God. It is in His love that we can know who we are created to be. Where let fear be in the driver's seat of our hearts, it will drive you away from your true identity and purpose and into the ditch of religion or rebellion.

In order to be part of the solution we have to have our hearts rightly aligned with God, remembering that the currency of the Kingdom of God is not winning arguments but winning souls. The people who you disagree with politically have living spirits that have an eternal destination. They are made in the image of Christ.  Will your interactions with them, or theirs with you, draw them closer to Jesus or further away?

If we want to partner in the move of God in this hour, we have to prepare our hearts to receive it. Now is the time for healing the heart of the church to move forward fearless and free, to be all He has created the Body of Christ to be.

    Who Would Jesus Vote For? - S2 - Ep.4

    Who Would Jesus Vote For? - S2 - Ep.4

As America prepares for another presidential election, the tensions are growing. Over the last
few elections, the political division in America has grown to a level of aggressive and violent
demonstration. Each party becoming more toxic and polarizing, condemning the other. Like a
bad divorce, each is blaming and accusing the other for all the problems, with neither taking full
accountability for their own part or seeking to work in the best interest of the whole family.

Within the Church, politics divide, with Christians judging, condemning, and shaming brothers
and sisters in Christ who do not see eye to eye. If Jesus was physically present in America
today, what would He say about Politics? Who would He say to vote for? What would He say to
    you?

In this episode, we look at politics and Christianity in America through the lens of Scripture
and Jesus own words…seeking to answer the questions-

    - What is the difference between politics and government?

    - What is the currency of the Kingdom of God?

    - What is my part?

In order to be part of the solution we have to have our hearts rightly aligned with God. That
comes from prayer, being in His word, and surrendering to His will and timing, not ours. We
have to seek His heart for our cities, countries and world.

If we want to partner in the move of God in this hour, we have to prepare our hearts to receive it
and carry the weighty responsibility. Now is the time for healing the heart of the church to
find healing and wholeness for our own hearts, and to move forward fearless and free, to be
all He has created the body of Christ to be.

Are You a Fan, Follower, or in Fellowship with Jesus? - S2 - Ep.3

Are You a Fan, Follower, or in Fellowship with Jesus? - S2 - Ep.3

In a world of celebrities, superstars, entertainers and influencers we can get confused on what it means to be a Christian. Is it a mob of fans lined up for tickets to the latest worship experience?  Is it a crowd of people pushing to get a good seat in the megachurch? Is it following the big name preacher, prophetic speaker, or theological giant?

    Let’s explore together.

    What is a Jesus Fan?
Aren't we to be Jesus Followers?
What does it mean to be in fellowship with Him?

The Kingdom of God is at hand.  The Lord Himself is preparing the people of God for the return of Christ.  It is time for the Bride to be dressed and ready, eagerly and expectant for her bridegroom.

Our churches today are filled with people who know about Jesus, and cheer for HIm, but don't really know Him.
Only those fully surrendered to the presence of God will transform lives and impact communities. As one who has been a sinner, fan, follower and now in fellowship, I can testify that no one is too far from Him. The one who has been forgiven much loves much. Luke 7:41-47

If we want to partner in the move of God in this hour, we have to prepare our hearts to receive it and carry the weighty responsibility.  Now is the time for healing the heart of the church to move forward fearless and free, to be all He has created us to be.

What does the Bible say about the body of Christ? - S2 - Ep.2

What does the Bible say about the body of Christ? - S2 - Ep.2

As a science major in college and graduate school, I am very familiar with dissection.  In order to understand the function of the human body, we look at the parts.  We study it in sections.  We would focus on the head and neck, then the chest,  the organs, blood flow, nervous system…you get the idea.  We would take a very detailed look at a body part to understand how it is structured.  But to fully understand we had to see how it connected to the whole body and the function it played overall.
The kingdom of God is referred to as the body of Christ.  It is not a building.  Or a denomination.  It is the people of God that are the temple of God, the place where He has chosen to dwell.
What does the Bible say about the body of Christ?
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.  Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.  1 Corinthians 12:12-14
We are one body, of many parts.
    United in Christ
    Baptized by one Spirit
Jews, Gentiles, slaves and free all one in Christ

If that is true, then why are we so divided?
Join Dana in this look at the dissection happening the body of Christ and discover the key to moving as one body. If we want to partner in the move of God in this hour, we have to prepare our hearts to receive it and be fully connected to the heart of God.  Now is the time for healing the heart of the church so we can move forward as one body fearless and free, to be all He has created the Church to be.
