The Story of Saint Catherine of Siena

The Story of Saint Catherine of Siena

This week we moved things outdoors so we could enjoy some of the lovely Kentucky spring that FINALLY decided to show up. We realized that in the midst of all of the huge changes that have been going on with us these past few weeks, we never finished talking about our Lenten commitments so we’re taking some time to reflect on their impact.
After that, we chat about the fascinating story of St. Catherine of Siena. We really strive for sincerity and this conversation is probably a good reflection of that because there were lots of things that we had to hash out about this saint.
As always, we love to hear from you so please don’t hesitate to drop us a line anytime!

What Do You Let Into Your Heart?

What Do You Let Into Your Heart?

In today’s episode, we’re talking about being discerning about the things we allow into our hearts. It’s a learning process - one we will surely never master - BUT we’re figuring out how to listen to those pulls and nudges that help to clue us in along the way.
Be it a television show, books, video games, jobs or even people - when have you felt called to remove something from your life that glorified sin?

Awkward Born Again Catholic

I am a Born Again Catholic.

I say this because I grew up Catholic but I didn’t pay attention to the church around me until I was Born Again while I was on a retreat March 6, 2010.

That said,
I love that I can relate to the the story about her freezing right when she were suppose to bow after the priest bowed to her.

I did the same thing once.

I personally haven’t had the nerve to take the gifts up to the alter since then.

I also can relate to the ping that he heard when he passed by the Catholic Church on his way to work & the hesitation that they both had while on their conversion.

The Catholic Church is filled with so much wonderful things but it is still easy to be awkward in it.

I think that this podcast is going to become a great resource for every person that strives to not just sit in the pews but to get to know Catholicism fully.

2 very enthusiastic thumbs up from this non-Catholic!

I just binged all 3 episodes of the podcast and LOVED all 137 minutes! I’m learning so much, and the personal anecdotes mixed in with your rapport, experiences, and history lessons are awesome! 😉 I’m really looking forward to more and I’m not even Catholic - it’s great entertainment and education!
